Members of a police union pledged support this week for a Lawrence officer facing criminal charges in connection with his use of force in an Aug. 25 arrest of a shoplifting suspect
Earlier this month, the Marion County prosecutor's office filed charges of battery and official misconduct against Officer Gabriel Slaybaugh.
Police also checked Reidling's truck registration, and discovered the vehicle was stolen. He had additional warrants in Marion County for theft and burglary, and a prior conviction for auto theft. He was charged with theft, auto theft and resisting arrest.

Myself, I would give this officer a medal. Have you ever stop a shoplifter? Will I have and seen many more. Charges like this with the guys record is just why our streets are not safe.

Oh,that's the same union that believes David Bisard is a hero and has spent thousands on Bisard's legal defense.
The FOP just wants a license to kill. Whether it's alleged criminals or just law abiding citizens legally stopped at a traffic light.
I wonder which county they're looking at to buy themselves a judge on Bisard's behalf?
