I think gun laws are worthless. The area in which the shooter and the states around have the most strict gun laws in our country. In short, they do not work.I feel this is a security issue.
I attended Arlington then Arsenal Tech and ther was armed police at both schools.I was beaten and robbed by knife point at Arlington but I was never shot or anyone I know. Why does it seem crazy when the president of the NRA says we should have armed guards at all schools? After four mass killings, school security should be the main conversation.

I agree with you completely. We didn't ban airplanes, box cutters, lighters, or make people fly in the nude to deal with vicious terrorists.
There are, however, armed undercover air marshals on every flight in and out of, and around, this country. Why are the people in the air more special than the ones on the ground?

There was a lady talk show host who suggested that birth control and 'other reproductive heath services'(durp) were more highly regulated than obtaining bullets. Not true. They are evenly matched. I can just as easily go into an abortion clinic and obtain a legalized murder or a handful of free condoms as I can go into Dons and pick up 100 rounds for range practice. As a matter of fact, there's always an abortion doctor to be bought off; not always the case with bullets. The shops are frequently running out of certain calibers.
I believe in abortion, as it happens, if only to make sure that stupid, immoral, and depraved individuals are given permission squelch their urge to squirt useless mouths into existence. If that's population control, here, here.

As a matter of fact, gun sales are THROUGH THE ROOF because of all the flak about gun control and bans. Keep it up, lib/progs. You are making next Christmas look twice as sweet to gun shop owners! Thanks!

Here is something the media isn't telling you. The school shooting in KY this week had nothing to do with the school. The school parking lot was a court ordered meeting place for a father and mother to exchange custody of their baby. The father, shot the mother in law, and the baby, but what is not being told was that someone else on the scene started shooting at the father causing him to drop the gun and flee. Sadly, this did not save the life of the mother in law, and child, but it was another example of a gun being used lawfully in an attempt to stop a shooter.

Gun laws are worthless in protecting school children, by themselves. The attempt at law presented yesterday, would not have prevented a person, bent on evil, to practice evil.
School secureity should consist of more than a uniformed, armed, police or secureity guard.
Bullet, and explosive glass should be placed at least on the bottom floor windows, same with entry doors. Personal of the school, those capable of weapon usage, should be trained in the use of deadly force, of course after a backround, and mental health check. Those armed could be principles, guideance personal, teachers, cleaning people, or unpaid adults.
Locks on the front door that allow peopleto go out in emergency, but access has to be allowed face to face.
There could be problems on school start, and stop times, but total safety is probably never possible.
The point being the proposed gun safety rules will not prevent further violence, and sets the stage for further violence since no real secureity options were decided.
The people in government, while some may disagree, are smart like a fox. Is it possible that those in government are deliberately avoiding secureity fixes to allow more carnage?

I was at Arlington also. But that was when you could walk safely to Devington shopping center. We did not have armed secureity at that time.

Do you find it interesting that those that call gun owners baby killers, are mainly supportive of abortion? Duh.

Exactly. Like they won't hesitate to call you a faqqot (but only) when you disagree with them). Hmmm... don't lib/progs embrace diversity, including homosexuality? So it makes PERFECT sense to make being a 'faq' a pejorative, when it suits them. They only like you if you're a LIBERAL faq.
Hypocrisy, thy name is LIBERALISM.
