Notice at the end where it says, "Police have not released the names of the victim, shooter or the woman."? Yet at the very beginning of the story they tell who they are and even have pictures of them. OOOPS!!
That is just another child who will grow up to be a hoodrat on welfare, and a thorn in the side3 of law enforcement.
People like you are a thorn in the side of society. You are already stating that this unborn child will be on welfare and in trouble. This unborn child could one day save your life so I suggest we all stop with assumptions and hope that the children of today learn from the mistakes of all of the uneducated and idiotic adults. This country can be better if everyone encourages those who will be our future. If this unborn child had you in his/her life, that would truly be a sad thing. You have already knocked this child down before it can even walk.

Well maybe it would be more diplomatic to say this unborn child is going to start off in life at a big disadvantage. Of course it wouldn't have happened if both parents had been surgically altered so that they could not procreate in the first place. It takes a lot of resources to raise a kid these days, and they certainly didn't have it.

Well Everybody thinks that the way to solve a problem is to bring out firearms! It makes it hard to live here , especially those that have kids in the vicinity of these acts - What happens to these kids ? Are they going to grow up and decide thats the way to handle the problem ?? you can't solve a problem by using weapons now can ya ? I understand the whole situation that occured in this dispute . I Myself have two kids of my own ; one is an 11th grader and one is a 5th grader ; I just cant believe that society has come to this ; I guess no one is safe AnyWhere ! I mean these High Schoolers are bringing knives and such to school ' who's to say if Our Kids are safe ? I Myself am A Concerned Parent as well as A Citizen. Is this what we have to look forward to now?- The Future generation resorting to this Same type of Cruel Act? Think About it - Children Learn What They Live ! We Should Be Role Models for these Kids and teach them The Right way to handle things not resorting to Violence ! We Have enough of that in the World ! Dont You Agree??!!

"In the end,one man lay shot on the ground in the front yard and the other was standing over him with a gun."

The tremendous number of guns on the streets, easily available to all, only increases the liklihood of similar tragedies being repeated, ad infinitum. Goblessamerica, indeed.

I work for a local staffing company, and Chaz was one of our employees. My colleague is the one who placed him at his job, where he was known as one of the most helpful, cheerful people on staff. He was a great guy with a big smile and a big heart. When my colleague told Chaz he got the job, he was so excited and shared with her that the timing couldn't have been better, as he was starting a family with his girlfriend. This guy was a sweetheart - even if his mugshot makes him look like a tough guy. I know he will be missed by everyone who worked with him, and we'll miss seeing him coming in to get his check and share a joke or a story every Friday.

There is just too much killing in the city of Indy and something needs to be done. People are actually getting away with murder. So they assume why not I not going to get any jail time because the prosecutors have done nothing to put these killers in jail. Just think about the killings in 06

Well I have read some of these so called comments and I must say that a few of you are ignorant. I am the cousin to the victim and no matter what is done in the end that actions of one has affected a lot of people. It is never right to harm anyone at any time, but what was meant to be we can not change. That is left up to the good Lord and him alone. As for the child of the victim, he will never be refered to as a welfare child or anything like that because it will have a family there no matter what. You might want to watch how you are so quick to judge when you nothing, absolutely nothing about the people. They are just story you saw on the news and decided you were going to talk about it today.

This has nothing to do with this shooting, but I felt a compelling need to inform the public anyhow. There is a group of about 5 young guys between the ages of 15 and 18, roaming the neighborhood (near southside between Morris and Emmerich Manual High School and from East St to Meridian). These boys are targeting whomever they happen to run across. They attacked my son walking to school this morning, robbed him of his State and IPS ID and his homework (yea, funny), and kicked him in the head several times til he bled.

They are drawing the drawstrings of their hoodies over their faces and using a bandana to cover the bottom half of their faces. They are roaming around looking for victims between the hours of 5am and 7:15-ish (using the darkness as cover). Age and where the person is heading to has no bearing on these attacks. A woman had the door to her house kicked in, they confronted her, stole the keys to her car, drove it up on the train tracks near the school (Raymond area) and torched it. They are still at large last I heard.

Do not let your kids walk to school unattended and if you must, warn them to watch out!

Thats awful what happened to your son JAM, with any luck those 5 boys will pick the wrong target and find themselves on the wrong end of a concealed weapon permit holder or homeowner with a shotgun. All these criminals tend to lose their bravado when the "victim" has the ability to fight back.
