As if the traffic in that area isn't bad enough. Address the congestion in that immediate area (which should have been done a decade or two ago) before building this! Now, Westerville will have to increase their police personnel just to handle the problems that this needless addition will bring to the community.

this is not going to be a full-sized walmart. it will be a marketside, which means the only customers it will attract are local residents. it will only help improve the shopping area that is literally crumbling into itself.

Also:
1.) semi trucks loading/unloading 24/7 (contributing to traffic congestion and noise).
2.) construction headaches (anticipate road closures, traffic congestion and noise).
3.) overflow of parking area into streets and community.

The Walmart of Morse Rd. is AWFUL! The staff. The service. The store always looks like it's being reconstructed. The one one E. Main St. is the 2nd worst in the city. This Walmart will undoubtedly be nicer than both of those stores and absolutely create jobs.

Walmart will close ALL small family owned businesses in the area with low prices on foreign made (junk) "merchandise". And then raise prices accordingly when the other businesses are gone. Just make sure that they do NOT stay open 24/7 otherwise the area WILL go down and become a eyesore. If you doubt me look at the areas around Walmarts now. Would you want to live within 2 miles of one??

The traffic concerns are unfounded and this is just an excuse snobs use. Nobody from outside Westerville is going to drive to a mini WalMart when the Columbus or Delaware store has more merchandise. It will simply become another destination for in-town traffic who is out and about doing their errands at the grocery store etc. It will be great to have something like this we can reach from the backroads of our own neighborhoods we travel through anyway. Bravo!

Anyone who thinks a smaller Wal-Mart in that shopping center is the end of civilization as we know it needs to get their heads checked.

I realize the look of an abandoned shopping center is one that some Westerville residents have grown to love, but it's time to fill that place out. If this were half a Giant Eagle it would see a lot less opposition. Westerville residents have associated Wal-Mart with "ghetto" and that is where the real issues lie.

Traffic is going to increase no matter what store takes over the largest retail space in that shopping center. Sounds like if some of these people had their way it would stay vacant.

Keep the big box stores out of city limits or the town will take on the look of rest of america.....Bland.... Shrock and state street is overcrowded as it is, add this, to the mix and it will just make conjestion out of control. City council needs to pass on this and let the westerville voters decide.

Hello Resident, just an FYI......Walmart trucks
are a drop and hook delivery system. They do not
unload and load 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The
only time that would happen is during initial
store startup. Also, trucking companies are
supposed to make appointments to unload their
trucks. You may ask, how do I know...I work for
Walmart. You also complain about roads being
closed, parking issue's....well then, don't
complain when your taxes go up becuase of lack
on jobs in the area. Hey Information, check your
facts, Walmart is lowering prices and will do
price matches on any competitor on the same
merchandise. Hey Guido, Homes4sale maybe Walmart
should put a Supercenter just outside the City
Limits that way it would attract customers before
they even get to Westerville and sales inside the
Ciy of Westerville will go down then the City
Council will have to raise your taxes to make
up the difference.

There are Wal-Marts everywhere. Not all look trashy. An example would be the one over by Tuttle Mall. The store front is neutral and the parking lot is always clean. Your comments make Westerville sound like a city of snobs. Oh, that's right it is! Get over yourselves!

Its you the customers that will drive the mom an pops stores out by supporting Walmart. You can also explain to me where the products come from in these other stores. I bet you fnd their from China an India, an Taiwan etc., etc. not North America. The factories of toys, makeup, lawn mowers, etc are all over seas, not just for Walmart. Thank your politicians for that.

I will pay higher taxes before I see the crap walmart brings to the city. Walmart treats their people lousy and attracts conjestion. Sorry to hear you work for them. Westerville residence love quaint Uptown Westerville intact, not black topped with wrecked cars duct taped, conjestion, and urban decay with swirling plastic trash bags blowing around in the parking lot. Keep it, even if it is just over the city limit sign We DO NOT WANT IT....DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT... CHARGER 689 ?

I always see fat WT people at Walmart whenever I have to go because someone got me a stupid giftcard there.

There should only be one GIANT Walmart allowed in any city pretty far outside city limits.

That way we can keep all the White Trash at the main vein. Call it Cedar Point or something and make it a WT attraction. They will love it.
