I think at this point in time, everybody including the news stations are just taking it as a daily occurrence. Did anyone else note that even though the police had a vehicle description and plate number, or so the article says, it was NOT listed? It's like the police don't REALLY care or want help!

"Two men entered the apartment at the rear of the building after a woman answered a knock on the door, Pilya said. The men went into a bedroom and shot the victim"

So was the knock a decoy or did they knock at the back door? If it was a decoy I'd say this was definetly a targeted attack.

Compared to the non-stop activity on the North and West ends, yes, it is hard to believed.

Nothing like failed sarcasm...

With the economy and unemployment rate the way it is... who is not section 8 (or would not qualify if they still taking applicants)?

That is a whole other topic.

The article says it was his in laws apt. I would venture to say he was 'hiding out' and did not chose a good place, as he was found and shot.

We can suspect that the homicide dept is so overworked lately, there's not much they can do.

Sickening.

I don't see what he has to do with any of this.

How does the mayor fit into all this? Poverty and crime in Columbus existed long before Coleman. Violent crime also went down 10% from last year, during a recession.

Their economical status is irrelevant. If this were done in a different area, one wouldn't yell, "6 figures!". I'm not saying that he was a stand up guy, either. I don't know him or his 'situation'. For all I know he was a 2 time felon, with 3 baby moms, and had a bad drug habit. Him possibly being on Section 8 doesn't justify anything, idiot!

Actually this is between Pickerington and Canal Winchester if I'm not mistaken. It started getting a bit rough over there about 4 years ago. Too bad that was a relatively decent neighborhood.

Canal Winchester is a wee bit south of there. Used to be a nice town until the Win-Win and the Section 8s and all the trash from Columbus moved down there. There ought to be a rogues' gallery on the wall of the mayor's office with pix of those who brought this about.

I think it has increased during his term. It just seems like he really isn't as proactive as he could be to crack down on the drug and gang violence. Hope he can get some additional support from the FBI or other agencies.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Sagittarius

It's important to be discriminating about what you say and believe today. That's because communications are rather strange, with people saying or doing odd things and plenty of scope for crossed wires. Be very careful if you're attending to important details because for some reason your brain may switch off at the vital moment, leaving you prone to making mistakes or losing track of what you're doing. Try to double-check anything important tomorrow when your brain is back in gear.
