Funny thing I noticed yesterday about the large chains/vs local stores.
I bought a $54.00 tool at Lowe's two days ago.
The exact same tool at a local hardware (privately owned) was $43.00.
It's not always true that the chain stores are cheaper.
It may have been true across the board at one time, but I think we have been brain washed to believe it's always the case now, when it isn't.

To whom it may concern,
When Walmart started they handled everything everybody wanted,Then they dicontinued most of what everybody was buying.I guess theyt thought they knew more than the old an that started the business. Not so.
The Mansfield store has lost business so you can tell by the empty places in the psrking lot. They took away the hobbys in sewing and crafts and mixed everything up in the store so you can't find what you're looking for what a bunch of bull.Put it back the way it was.And by the way start buying in the United States so we know where it came from.We don't need china or mexico,we need Americans working to supply us.

Wal-mart has provided jobs for many. It is the only company that someone can start as a stock boy/girl and work their way to upper management. They contiune to recognize hard work with out union bullying. Why would you think that "smaller stores or even the larger grocery stores" have lost business (if that is true)? Could it be because that the evil corporation provides a good product at an affordable price. Just how has the evil corportation of wal-mart"ruined" life for many people and especially for you.
go to kroger get a dozen fresh grade A large eggs for 1.49 or so, then go to walmart and pay 1.88 for the same dozen.
wanna try for more, go get a LB of burger, any kind from walmart then go to kroger get an LB of burger from there same as what you got at walmart and put them in separate pans watch them cook and see which one has the larger burger at the end.

I live right beside a walmart, we have tried this and proven a lot of people wrong, i can go to walmart and spend more on less. i would also point out that walmart gets things that travel 5000 miles where as a lot (not all) of krogers stuff comes from local sources. or at least not 5K miles away.

unions didnt kill the industry, politicians selling the cheaper lie and people falling for it is what killed business.
believe me i wouldnt drive 5 miles to kroger if i didnt know for a fact that i save money. i have family and friends who work at korogers, one since high school 20 years ago. they love working for kroger. i admire kroger for allowing unionized workplace too. there is a great reason we have unions, if we didnt we would be slaves just like those who work minimum wage at walmart.(ask yourself why walmart profits are so high? is it because they pay crappy?)people who work there are mostly poor people who despise their job, their pay and their bosses. i also have friends who work there, one been there for 12 years making a little over 10 bucks an hour PART TIME no benefits, guess where she gets benefits? from the tax payers, state provided health care.

so who pays the price of walmarts inability to be a great american company?

the tax payer in the long run. just check out the cost of health care, she also gets food stamp assistance.

yep walmart is a great company. if you like how china is ran.

Who is a major funder against the repeal of SB5? Walmart. They are contributing $10,000,000.00 (10 million) dollars in the fight against repealing SB5. Why? Walmart hates unions and are massively afraid of Walmart employees unionizing for better pay, health care benefits, equal employment rights, etc... People wake up and smell the coffee. Today Kasich is out to penalize and hurt the middle class workers of your local schools, firefighters, policemen, and government employees. These people have already made concessions in pay, raises, increased their pension contributions, changed their retirement systems, and health care contributions. When did these proud people of Ohio, your next door neighbors, the people who risk their lives to save you, the people who educate our children to make our communities and state a better place become public enemy number one? These wall street fat cats are trying to turn people against each other rather than against the ever increasing rich and powerful. If Walmart really cared, they would stop importing everything from China and give their employees better pay and benefits. Don't let corporate America fool you.Vote NO on Issue 2. If we don't stop them here, you're next.

If you want to support China and a few other countries...go ahead and buy from Walmart-and stop complaining about our jobs going overseas. That is one thing that positively burns my ass,it pisses me off-to watch people buy from Walmart, then complain that our jobs are gone.Be American and buy American!

Walmart dos'nt train their employees properly, they pay as little wage as possible...yet their workers act like they have the best job in the Country!I don't get it,someone please explain that.

I'm proud to buy American,and what I can't buy- I make myself.

The clothes from Walmart turn to rags after a few washings, their junk from China falls apart almost as soon as you take it out of the box.

What average grocery store is better than walmart besides meijer? Here in cowtown there is no class so there are no super rich stores. Unless your one of those geniuses who wants to pay 2x the grocery prices to get 10 cents off gas, then you can pay more. Feel free to buy Chinese slave goods from any other store at twice the price, I encourage idiots to throw their money away because there needs to be less of them anyways. The faster they throw their cash away the faster they can not have enough money to buy food, the faster they can fertilize plants to feed to intelligent people.
Have you peopel ever talked to an "american"? EVen if they made something (which they dont) these people cnat even check your brakes or make your burger properly. I would order my burger from the intelligent Asiansand have them ship it overseas If I could, if I was dumb enough to eat poison like these fast food places serve.
Please brush up on your grammer,if your putting America and Americans down-why don't you ship yourself overseas!that would be one less problem for us "Americans".

Wal-Mart employs more people than any other company in the United States outside of the Federal government, yet the majority of its employees with children live below the poverty line. "Buy American" banners are prominently placed throughout its stores; however, the majority of its goods are made outside the U.S. and often in sweatshops. Critics believe that Wal-Mart opens stores to saturate the marketplace and clear out the competition, then closes the stores and leaves them sitting empty. Freedom of speech issues also come into play. Musicians are at the mercy of Wal-Mart's stringent content rules, forcing many to create "sanitized" versions of their

People are surprised that Wal-Mart would even want to locate a store at Ashland, with another one 10 miles away. But that's part of the Wal-Mart saturation strategy. They place their stores so close together that they become their own competition. Once everybody else is wiped out, then they're free to thin out their stores. Wal-Mart has 390 empty stores on the market today. This is a company that has changed stores as casually as you and I change shoes.

This POS corporation is reminescent of the old "company store" owned in the old days by the coal mining company where the money from the exploited coal miners was recycled for their own coffers. The best way to fight this horrible corporation is not to buy anything there. They exploit the workers, the customer service is horrible and the vendors are exploited too. I hope these bastards go under in the near future. If anyone ever walks by the frozen meat department in their stores the meat smells like rotting corpses but if you all want to support the wonderful People's Republic of China and their sweatshops by all means shop there! This corporation can rot in Hell along with the Walton Family. I bet good old Sam Walton would give up his billions for a drink of water where he is at now!

WalMart is a cancer on the U.S. culture, and the best thing that ever happened to the Chinese economy.

The Walton family (and its conspirators)ought to be dragged into the streets, tried and hung.
