In my view, it was President George W. Bush leadership, that got Obama elected to begin with.

It was obvious that Mitt Romney had nothing to do with the former President, during his run to get elected.

My view was Romney was not really the man, most Republicans wanted. He used the money to purchase the nomination. He flipped/flopped every week or so.

1. Media bias and outright campaigning for Obama.
2. Anti-Mormon bigotry.
3. Poor choice of candidate by the GOP.
4. Poorly run campaign by Romney.
5. The dumbing down of the American public.
6. Losers wanting "free stuff."
7. Racism on the part of the left.
8. GOP voters staying home on election day.
9. Class and race warfare by the Democrats.
10.GOP establishment ignored the party base.

You see clown, I can be intellectually honest...something completely alien to you people.

I think he told the truth and people didn't like the truth. They preferred the promise of rainbows and sunshine from Obama.

Romney mentioned cutting funding for higher education which scared many young people. I say they need to be more selective and not give student loans to those who don't belong in college.

Romney talked about cutting deductions, but have no specifics.(Not like Obama gave any specifics either). When you start threatening to cut freebies it scares people because then they know they lose out on free stuff.

I personally think Romney lost because of the following
1. The media spun everything against Romney and hid most things (Benghazi, fast and furious, sandy)
2. Romney didn't play hardball. He tried to be presidential and didn't go for the jugular. The media and the left slung lots of mud, but Romney didn't. So Obama didn't run on his record. He ran on making Romney look like the bad guy.
3. Too many people voted because they are living a good life on the government tit and know Obama will keep it flowing and Romney would have ended it.

I think democrats have gotten enough people on assistance now that they have created a super majority of voters. Romney was completely correct about the 47% comment. Unfortunately, too many people were too stupid to read the entire comment in context.

So we are stuck with the president who promises the world and delivers nothing.

His latest press conference was just more vague promises and partisan talk. He basically sounded like bush and basically said "if you're not with me your against me". Glad to see that bipartisan spirit he promised lasted a whole week.

If theses stories existed during a Repub's Presidency, they would've hammered away 197 times a day at then.

The main omission is that your failed to admit that YOU are the problem. You're an antiquated demographic and what you think and do is increasingly irrelevant.
You couldn't be more wrong...as usual. Politics is cyclical. If any group should be considered increasingly irrelevant, it's blacks. They are aborting and murdering themselves into oblivion. They only have their artificial notion of importance thanks to white guilt liberals.

In the first place, President Obama proved he is smart and capable, and has grown into the job. People can see that.

In addition, many voters were alienated by the ongoing strident hysteria churned out by the conservatives. People can also see quite clearly that President Obama is NOT a Kenyan, NOT a Muslim and NOT a socialist.

The Republicans have taken the popular vote only once since 1988. Perhaps not coincidentally, they adopted the politics of tantrums and angry rage in 1992.

In a nutshell, President Obama made a credible case for himself, and a big boost from George put him over the top.

You are lost in your misplaced bigoted hatred. Stop hating and help yourself.
There's nothing but truth in what I said about blacks. You lefties just refuse to accept facts. 60% of black women in NYC have had at least one abortion. Extrapolate that nationwide. White liberals are doing exactly what Margaret Sanger envisioned 100 years ago.

George HW Bush and Bob Dole ran campaigns of rage? Do tell..
Angry, false rage is something you people excel at...witness the phony "war on women" bullsh!t. Women with intelligence were appalled and embarrassed that so many females fell for those lies.

Look, Mr Woof Woof,
This country has real problems... not the fictional crap that Fox News and Rush to Ignorance vomit daily.
If we are to survive and prosper, we need to stop hating each other. left to right and back. It is self-destruction. We need to find common ground. Both sides have contributions. Just stop hating and get to the real work of this great country.
There will be no unity until this country gets back to following the Constitution and gets out of the current crushing debt. I don't see that happening anytime soon.
Want one solution to the division in this country? The existence of a reasonably unbiased, non-activist media. Until that happens, there will be continued strife.

Yeah, even a blind squirrel stumbles over the occasional acorn. You're so intellectually honest two weeks ago you were insisting on a Romney landslide.

Thanks for the belly laugh!

You just proved that you have no argument. I offered solid, legitimate ideas and you reply with NOTHING. Well, nothing except letting us know that you don't believe in the Constitution, you have no problem with the debt and you want a biased, activist mass media.
There will be no unity with people like you.

1. Media bias and outright campaigning for Obama.

Fox News has been against Obama for over 5 years. Sean Hannity on TV radio ranting daily. Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levine, Bill Cunningham, the list goes on and on, of those that have campaigned against Obama. Your point has absolutely no merit, and pointless. You claim Fox News is number one. Rush Limbaugh with his claim of 40 million, or 20 million, at least the claim of being number one. Nearly everyone on radio that is a conservative radio host.

2. Anti-Mormon bigotry.

My guess is that you have little or no knowledge of Christian Doctrine. No knowledge of the Bible, that would amount to anything.

To compare The Book of Mormon to the Bible, is like comparing a hurricane to a gentle breeze. The Mormons believe the Book of Mormon is more accurate than the Bible. When they come to your home to talk about their Book of Mormon, They ask you to pray with them it is true. I have never been asked by anyone that came to my home if the Bible is true.

I think you are a person, no matter what the subject, you have to have an opposing view. If people don't agree with your view, they are a moron. What kind of view do you think people have of you, when you have your nose into anything, and everything, like you know all, and everyone else is a damn fool.

To compare the Doctrine of the Mormon Church is like comparing Jesus to the Devil. There was something that caught my eye, in the Mormon Doctrine, and it was this, they thought they could become a god. Lucifer thought he could become a god. Is that what you think you are Clevon, a god? A god on every subject that a person can come up with on Topix, A god to everyone else, when they don't agree with you, they are much less than you are, they don't measure up to your godly standard, do they? Every town has it's own Topix, know it all, you fit that profile. You live it, breathe it. Enjoy yourself Clevon, go ahead make a damn fool of yourself everyday.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Aquarius

Someone is confused and muddled today, making it difficult to talk for long without becoming equally bemused. Avoid making decisions or researching important information, because there's a strong possibility of getting crossed wires, or talking at cross purposes. A memory may also be distorted now, leading to mix-ups or bewilderment.
