Give it up with that pool. Brown kept it closed that year because it wasn't being used. They never started construction until sept of that year. That was just an excuse. Good job brown and fusco. Pool not needed.

Do you have kids that live in that area? Do you have a backyard pool? What do you base your opinion on?

Keep that cesspool closed, why open it so the welfare dirtbags who don't work can have a place to soak their filthy asses.

No one else wanted to speak up about it last year. Sure everyone got on here and complained but where were you all for the protest? I am glad I got the hell out of that neighborhood. One other mother showed up with her kids but that was all.

I think the pool should be opened. Why leave possible funding opportunities sit there, doing nothing?? I wont be using it because I have one of those walmart pools for $200, with the posts. If you push all kids to 1 pool or 2.. too crowded. The pools are not that big either. There is always Lake Delta as a last resort I suppose.

You got that right. I argued, last year, until I was red in the face and all it got me was high blood pressure. There are way more kids in west Rome than east Rome. Thank God mine is no longer one of them. I don't give a rats azz now. Now I live on the parade route so fucko will probably cancel the parade this year because he got too many dirty looks last year. hahaha

Let us not forget the young boy from west Rome, who was hit by a car last year and knocked off his bicycle by Welcome Hall. He was returning home from pinty. Shame on all of you. Parks and rec as well as the mayor said there would be a bus for the kids. Lies.

Maybe the welfare Moms or theirs jobless babies Daddy's can bring them to Tosti Pool. Better yet how about not, have them go to Lake Delta so they can pollute that water with their dirty diapers and cigarette butts. The pool at Kennedy is not needed, that neighborhood is disgusting and half of it should be demolished. Maybe Councilor Smith should concentrate in cleaning up her filthy ward and stop grandstanding for Jim Brown.

How true! He is going to use the CDBG money and the money he got from the state to make East Rome look better. Of course his business intrest are there. Can't let the businesses spend their own money to make it look better. It does not change the fact its a suck hole there. You can change the looks, but you can't change the people. He is nothing but a waste of air and space. If he was smart he would cut his losses and quit before people run him out of town on a rail.

That pool was just a free bathtub to the dirtbags in the neighborhood. There were more unemployed adults there than kids. Why doesn't Councilor Smith open up a job fair in her ward or have her mentor Brown get them jobs at Price Chopper. Let it remain closed and save the taxpayers money.

She doesn't ! She takes orders from the former Dicktator who resides in a different ward. She is not a leader but simply a puppet for the former Mayor.

If it is the only way people can bathe, codes needs to investigate the local rental units. When is Rome going to invest in their children? Maybe one of the kids who benefits from a re-opening becomes a successful person, and decides to invest in his hometown...

Thanks. The damn politicians only look at the money, they could cut something else. If it is really that bad, close ALL of the pools. Why single out West Rome? That is just stupidity!
