What is everyone's opinions on the local restaurant businesses? I can tell you personally I have been to Charlie browns three times since they re opened and have yet to be impressed. I think the food is average at best, service is poor and quite unfriendly. Most recently I was there for lunch 2 weeks ago at noon. I was told I could not order off the lunch menu because they were too busy to turn the fries on which doesn't make sense to me.

I can tell you that if you want great food, friendly service and at a great price... Take the drive to Seasons cafe in woodgate. That is where I will be going from now on. Never had a bad experience.

What do others think?

Just save yourself the headache and go to the White Lake Inn. The food is great and you get a nice scenic view of the trailer park across the road. Once you have your beer googles on, the scene is great.

I have yet to go to charlie browns, but have heard mixed reviews, I will definately give them a chance. I refuse to go to Slims because the waitresses are the worst around and the food is mediocre at best. My Family and I go to Season's atleast three times a month and have always had great food, and friendly service and conversation. As for the white lake inn all i hear is horror stories about the food at this place. I have not tried it other than wings and pizza(which are good) but hopefully they get their act together because he could really do alot of dinner business if he got a good cook in there.

Had the best omlet ever at Charlie Browns over the weekend! Ohh and Hang Nail, sounds like you are just out to badmouth Jeff! If it was so god awful then why would you go back THREE times? A person of average intelligence only goes once if its that bad! Oh and the waitresses were very cordial. So quit your bashing

I've been to Charlie browns a few times since they've reopened & had very pleasant experiences.

As for seasons cafe, the quality has gone down while prices have gone up, and the severs are moody. Not to mention the hours are hit or miss. I've attempted to go there a couple times for lunch & they've been closed at 1??? Talk about not making sense. I'll never go there again. Making the out of my way drive to Charlie browns.

Never going back to a restaurant because of one bad experience is actually pretty stupid. Intelligent people understand that a business may be off their game every once in a while and business deserve a second chance, especially when itís new. I personally like Jeff and think he is a great person. For that reason I have gone to CB2 a total of three times even though my experiences have been less than satisfactory. Iím sure they will get whatever issues they have taken care of in time, and I plan to go back there again in the future. I recently have been going to the Forestport-Woodgate-WL area and will say I have been extremely impressed.

The White Lake Inn has a great atmosphere. Why go to the other places when you can hang out at the best place?
