Just put the used ones on a hotdog roll and eat then.
You will save money on wieners.

Apparently the filters are not preventing enough of the effluence from the chimney. The inspector put several sensors in the chimney and several a few hundred feet from the chimney. The sensors in the chimney detected blood pathogens or something like that so I now need to install what is called an active filter. More expense!!
We have the same codes issue in my town in VA. The active filter is well worth it but it cost me $125,000. It'll pay for itself in 5 years. The way it works is it ionizes the effluence from the pads and tampons. Prior to departing the chimney the ionized particles pass through an electromagnetic field that forces them on to and electrified plate (low current but 25,000,000 volts) that literally vaporized the particles which are then rerouted back into the combustion chamber and re-burned. There is virtually no residue and you only have to replace the mechanical filters once a year which costs about $5,000. If you go solely with the mechanical filters it is cheaper to install but you have to replace the filters at least once per month depending on whether the women in your household are on the same schedule (if you know what I mean). If they are on multiple schedules then the cost becomes astronomical. Good luck and hope this helps.

Tomorrow the inspector witness' my furnace in operation. My wife and daughters as well as my wife's sister provided a months supply of used feminine products for destruction. The inspector is bringing some equipment to measure the effluence from the chimney as will test the filter to ensure it is capturing any particulate. The manufacturer claims my furnace can "dispose" of 500 pads and tampoons is about 3 minutes. The inspector has to certify this capability so he can determine the number of additional households I can support should anybody build a house in my neighborhood and want to use my furnace. I can't believe what I have had to go through. When I think I'm done this guy comes up with additional requirements and tests.
This is typical of New York and other liberal states. They have a rule for everything so that can collect your money in regulations, fines, taxes,.... Move to Texas - No income tax, property taxes are lower that NY, unemployment rate is way below NY, you can have a life without the government making you burn your wife's tampons.

I don't have anything against the more liberal parts of the country but you have the damnedest rules - used tampons and pads have to be disposed of properly because of some nutty politician's idea of saving the environment. If your happy with that kind of crap - great. I prefer the freedom that you can only get in the more conservative parts of the country. Texas is great as far as I'm concerned!!

Good luck burning your tampons.

When you can't win the argument make personal attacks. Very sad - probably because you live in a liberal state. Are you a taxpayer or a recipient of government benefits. Another way of asking the question - Are you a pitcher or a catcher. My guess - your a catcher.

Thanks for the psychological analysis. I guess you showed me. When you folks want to be free come on down to Texas. We respect anybody who works and takes care of themselves and their family. Leave the tampon burner in New York though. It's not required in Texas unless your afraid that you'll miss the smell of a burning used tampon. In that case by all means bring the burner with you. Leave your EBT card at home as well.

What's with your anger. Did the government forget to recharge your EBT card? You liberals from New York don't have anything better to do than make up stuff. Enjoy paying your high taxes so your politicians can pay off their cronies who keep them in office and employ their relatives and friends. Make sure you don't forget to file your state income tax return - that is assuming your a pitcher and not a catcher. If I'm the idiot what's that make you??

I don't worry about burning my tampons (or pads for that matter) but I agree that Texans love freedom. It's great unless your life's dream is to be on the dole. Industry is always moving out of NY, California and other states with high taxes and lots of rules on things such as gun ownership. I plan to retire in Texas. Good luck paying NY taxes. There is no end to them (income, property, sales, death,...) there taxes. Texas here I come!!! Yee hah!!!
