Or you can support freedom instead. That video is just another day for a cop as a predator for the state. License to do what?

Lets see u support them when the US becomes a police state. This country owes 16 trillion & borrows 3 billion a day. Look it up. Anyone who has ever had a bank account can do that math. Do u realize what the interest is on that debt? There is no hope for our economy. We have no money. They are planning for civil unrest & taking ur rights away 1 by 1. That's why they are taking the guns. We are losing the Constitution because ppl are unaware & letting it happen. We are turning into a socialist state. This is happening now.

How do you feel about them illegally arresting and disarming combat veterans and soldiers on the back roads of 'Merica?

Don't you have to HAVE a police department in order to support them? The Rome Police Department are nothing but traffic ticket predators, who are not above framing people to meet their quotas. They can't or won't even solve 2 murders, which is not the first time this has happened, if you know Rome's history a little.

Yes, if you know Rome's history to you know...we actually have one of the lowest crime rates in the state and one of the highest clearance rates. There are 2 "unsolved" murders in the last 50 plus years (1 in the 70's for crying out loud) and guess what? They know who did both of those. Just because they may have been unable to bring someone to trial for it doesn't mean they don't know who did it.
The same probably applies in this situation. Its been barely a month, as was reported in the Sentinel LAST night (for those b******* it hasn't been covered) and they verified they're still actively working it.
If you know anything about how the justice system works they only get one bite at the apple, and this entire city would be screaming if they proceeded too soon and the murderers got off. Its just that people that have their own embarrassing reasons to hate the cops take advantage of their caution by using it to scream that they are incompetent instead of just preceding cautiously.
...and why I just wasted my time explaining the obvious to the idiots is beyond me...

Everybody love everybody right now o.0! Complaining won't do any good and no one, besides rpd and the involved people, know the details. Just go around loving everyone and you'll have nothing to worry about :). If you happen to be the random victim of a murder, just make sure you invested in the next life, not this one. Everything of this world can be taking in a flash. The next life is forever! Some believe nothing comes next, but I have witnessed both the good and bad of the next life. Tip, you don't want to meet a demon, they're scary :(. Everybody love everybody right now o.0!

You actually explained and exhibited your true lack of knowledge on anything you were trying to speak on. You should stick to debates at the local Dunkin Donuts. Or voicing your incompetent uneducated opinion to your dog or a deaf person, someone who can talk back to you and really inform you.

For starters, there has been 4 unsolved murders in Rome since the 70's. The Gryziek murder, the Napa Store murder and the 2 that just happened. That I know of there could be more. And as far as lowest crime rate are u NUTZ? Since we got dumped with 4 prisons in this small town the crime rate has drastically gone up, from criminals being set loose here and not to mention their families moving up here to be closer to their family members who are incarcerated here. Have you looked out your window lately and noticed people walking down the street that dont look like they are from here? Have you seen the decline in our community from the influence from the influx of these people from NYC?

And listen you stated they know who did all those other murders, knowing is not good enough, even if in fact they do know, which is not known. Unless you are basing your basing your facts on what maybe your buddy's brother inlaw knows a girl who dates a cop is saying etc. LMAO. Dont be embarrassed alot of people think they know alot just based on what they hear and believe everything of what they hear. But still you dont think you sound ridiculous? We are a small town that is alot of murders and to be unsolved that is even more alarming. Regardless, if they know or u think they know, or Joe Schmoe at Dunking Donuts swears up and down that he knows cause he heard they know. As far as the community knows they have no suspects. BLING! which means there are 4 murderers out there still roaming the streets. As far as proceeding too soon, its been 30 some odd years since the first unsolved murder and 20 years for the second. So if they know and are not incompetent what are they waiting for. Maybe you should go and apply to RPD for a job, sounds like you might be well qualified. What do you mean they only get one bite at the apple? They have 3 shifts a day almost 80 officers at their disposal not to mention the assistance of other local agencies close to us. Ah ya, I usually dont respond to people like u on here and now wondering why I wasted my time.

No need to? No need to what put your name on a public forum? Then why would you ask me to do that? What is your point? Do you have a point? Go back to sleep The Jerry Springer Show is over and your pot dealer cant be reached. Nothing left for u to do today. BTW, are you going to contribute any intelligent intellectual property to this discussion or just call people out on Topix for their names? I didnt post on this forum to give out my name. Hence a public forum such as this to contribute to Topics that are posted or start Topics of interest. Geez r u new to the internet? Get an education. Dont you know sometimes silence speaks louder than words? Atleast if you get some education you can participate and sound intelligent like a grown up.

Since the other two murders were the topic of the thread, it makes sense that saying there were two unsolved murders in that time since the other 2 happened recently, and were what were referred to in the first place so only a simpleton would need those added in for him without considering it redundant. You can hardly stamp them as unsolved at this point in the popular sense, they are simply being investigated at this point. The older two fit the definition better, as they are clearly not in active investigation.

The crime index on city-data in Rome NY in 2011 which is the most recent one listed was 89.9, and the national average was 307.5. I would say that less than a third of the national average is pretty low. Neighborhood Scout also compiles violent crime statistics, and rates your chances of becoming a victim of violent crime in Rome at 1 in 910, while in the rest of NYS it is 1 in 251. Much better odds here, wouldn't "u" agree? But I guess since "you" can't even take the time to type two additional letters, looking up facts to fit your theory would be too much to ask.
