All the "Chiefs" on the Forest Preserve District Police are stupid political hacks, just like the Toddler. The few good police officers suffer under the hacks lack of leadership.

The Sun-Times reported that ALL candidates contending for County President are in favor of disdbanding the Forest Preserve Police and letting the Sheriff's Dept. patrol those areas. Tom Dart said that his dept. could handle it with 20 cars. This would save in excess of 8 million a year.
But are not the FP Police absolutely vital? If that Force is eliminated the crime rate among squirrels will skyrocket !! And the racoons will be worse. They can't be trusted because they all wear those black masks like the bandits in the old cartoons.
The point >> The Forest Preserve Police Dept. is the definition of the term BOONDOGGLE. They sit in their cars all day with nothing to do until sundown. That's when they work >> they have to put up the chains at the entrances. That what the taxpayers get for their 8 million.

It's a dire situation now !!
I drove thru a Forest Preserve on Saturady and I witnessed the unconscionable. A FP (aka Squirrel) policeman was writing two tickets for vehicles that had parked on the grass. It was at grove that a had picnic and the LIMITED number of parking spaces were all filled. The two vehicle owners were standing by, while the ticket writing was occurring .... their children crying because they being kept from the picnic. I hope that JO excuse for a public servant is happy. In order for him to keep his BOONDOGGLE job, he has suck revenue from families using the Preserve for what is was intended.

Did the cop call out for the tow trucks to take the cars under their Administrative Tow program? A form of goverment sanctioned piracy where at the officers discretion, he can tow your car, make you go to 1 Aloha Lane to their headquarters, and pay a non refundable $500.00 fee (ransome)(cash only!)(goes into an envelope the Sargent has) to get a written release. The drivier then has to hustle butt to Hazel Crest to get their car out of storage.$200.00 for starters and $35.00 a day storage fees. Then you got to go to their kangaroo court at 1 Aloha Ln. and pay a fine from $75.00 to $500.00. I stay the hell out of the Cook County Forest Preserves.

Sorry to hear about your father's dog, TA. The Westchester police did the same to my neighbor's dog. The Westchester PD is like the FPPD; they do not combat or deal with real crime. They are only capable of writing tickets for not having a Village Sticker or conducting ROADBLOCKS (or "Safety Checks" as they call them to circumvent the U.S. Constitution). Black ?? Hispanic ?? See the officers !!
