Keep exploiting the tragedy for more clicks on your page, Lauren. Write up more articles about the families suffering so you can keep those eyes on your page. Those kids will eventually know how you manipulated the story for your websites gain.

These kids will become adults soon and learn that you are soulless and void of any journalistic integrity.

Never expect the truth or ethics from someone who the city has bought and sold numerous times over the past year or so. She is a tool of the city. Never, ever, forget that.

Am I missing something? Why are you putting this editor on blast for reporting the news? Tragedies like this happen every day (sad to say) and are reported in the news with more details than any local newspaper has given. You can only protect the kids from so much .... esp given the age of the oldest boy. Cut these jornalists a break. Just sayin'

I think these kids need help, not criticism. It's news, this is there job, they get iff on ruining peoples lives. They just dont realize that the 6year old Gloria could be reading these horrific posts.

I don't understand what you mean about the "horrific posts?" What is horrific is the story itself.

I have to agree. While I realize they fave a duty to report the news, I think some things didn't need to be publicized. Another thing to remember is "innocent until proven guilty."

They need to back off with all the coverage on this and give the community and the family some space. Lauren Traut has over a hallf dozen articles on this plastered all over FB and patch. You think she doing it out of sympathy?? Give me a flipping break. She's doing it to get clicks on the page and make herself look better to the higher ups at her company. I can guarantee that if this happened to her family she would be ticked off about the abuse and exploitation of such a tragedy to sell advertising, which, believe it or not, is what the patch is after. It's a business after all, and with her company hemorraging money, they are beating the doors down to get more clicks and readers, regardless of how often they have to beat a story to death. She tries to pass herself off as such. A sweet person, but underneath is a paparazzi wannabe.
