Not sure about the hydrant situation but even if they didn't work they don't and wdnt have run a line from the station. One of the trucks holds plenty of water for this exact issue. They don't run a massive water line for block.

i read the article how there was no official domestic calls to the home or restraining orders ... but thats just it - it was not made official to the authorities instead she suffered in silence in her home where she should have felt safe. how very sad. Let this be a lesson if you find yourself in a domestic violence situation to speak out and get out because if you stay it only gets worse. My prays go out to her and her family at this time.

If the people in the suburbs realize that they are no different from the people in the city, then they would not have this false sense of security. They are so busy saying"this just don't happen in this neighborhood". Give me a break. The only difference from what happens in the city is that it gets reported on and always in a negative manner. You suburbanites need to realize that you are no different from city folk. The only difference is you murder in volume and it gets covered up. You murder your family members and a large group of others that have nothing to do with nothing. We kill those that have done something to us. Give me a break and those around you. Let them know what is happening in your neighborhoods.

"We kill those that have done something to us"?? True words of a complete degenerate. You are the kind of piece of shit that I see in our suburban police blotters. Scum bags like you drive out to the suburbs to rob us blind, then you jump on I-57 North to get away. Our neighborhoods are fine. Your hoods on the other hand looks like Baghdad. Little kids are being shot everyday in the city you idiot.
