Current Trustees scared of Ed Moody?

Every topic seems to keep coming back to someone trashing Ed Moody. He is obviously doing a good job getting his name out there, most likely for a trustee spot. Knowing the amateur ways of this current administration, I wouldn't be surprised if someone up for election (Ahem Davies) feels threatened by him. Sticking Siegel's name on your sign won't help now that people have seen your personality and actions. If Moody does run, he has my vote over any of the Performance Party goofs.

Davies is toast no matter who runs against him. He has put himself in a position of insulting Mayor Siegel wherever he goes. Even on a slate with The Untimate Siegel Yes Man Davies won't get help from Siegel.

Anybody has my vote over the (lack of) Performance Party. Our home's values are dropping at least twice as fast our neighboring villages (even Alsip, Bridgeview, and Palos Hills), Our town's main drags look "Ghetto", and our water pipes are leeching like a seive right below our feet.

ONE MORE WEEK TIL RIDGEFEST!!!- Our town's leaders' pitiful attempt to put lipstick on the pig they are raising. Just watch the fine clienale from out of town that attend - talk about ghetto!

Anyway this village desperately needs NEW leadership - not that LACK OF PERFORMANCE PARTY.

I hear Moody is considered a real joke by most if not all of our current board including the Mayor. He bragged how he could win any election and backed Michael Macellaio, the candidate backed by House Speaker Michael Madigan. Many voters were creeped out by him and Kelly Burke won beating him and the CHICAGO MACHINE.
Ask some of his fellow school board members about him.

Good luck with your recount, Ed was the number one vote getter in Chicago Ridge. I hope you can find 12,000 votes

Funny that you should bring up that recount idea. Nobody should get to win around here unless we pick them. This independent thing is junk. We have all the campaign money and Moody got lucky. We did our work like we were supposed to. We took care of village business. We brought home the bacon. When you do your job you are supposed to be Big Time Winners. There will be a recount. There is a lot more to do. We don't whine. We are Big Time Winners. Everybody knows that. You just wait shrimp. There will be a another day.

Jack Lind got crushed by a group of Township Trustee candidates (running on Ed Moody's slate) both at the Township and in his home town of Chicago Ridge. Unknown candidates beat Jack Lind in his home town.

Lynn Barker was crushed in her second attempt for village office.

Brad grove came in last place.

This wasn't luck. This was Moody wiping the floor with all three of his political enemies.

I know the frustration of people only being involved when their people aren't in power. I also understand it's all politics and that's how things have been done and most likely will continue to get done. I guess my naive hope is/was that one day a politician, and I really don't care who, would actually bring change to "Business as Usual". Our political system has so many issues the way it is currently being run that it really angers everyone at one time or another. A little effort in fixing the glitches in the actual system would benefit everyone. We wouldn't have to pay out as much money in law suits, reinventing the wheel ... I bet if we posed the question to people to DEFINE what they expected when they voted for CHANGE, many would say it was to change the "Business as Usual" attitude we get every time political power changes hands. What the heck let's ask the question, All of you who voted for CHANGE at one time or another, not necessarily this election, what was it you were hoping would change?

We got rid of a double dipper pension pig. We got rid of a bar owning thug who voted for the Balderman pension blow out. We voted against a School Board Bully that voted to raise property taxes for 12 years in a row. Now that is some change I will take anytime.
