Another Peterson search, but still no clues

With their ranks swollen by increasing media attention, about 90 volunteers combed rural areas near Bolingbrook for a second day Sunday for clues to explain the disappearance of Stacy Peterson, the wife of a ... Full Story

while I believe everyone deserves a fair trial, you can't overlook the fact that wife #3 feared for her life, filed an order of protection against him, and then "accidentally" turned up dead. Nor can you overlook the fact that Stacy told her sister that very night that if something happens to her it will be at her husband's hands.

Hmmmm.... now I'm not convicting him, but you can't look at both of these cases and say that he's just got to be innocent, can you?

And, in any courtroom, his character will be attacked, and he's not exactly clean as a whistle in this department either.

So defend him if you must, but if that girl turns up dead he's going to have a heck of a time trying to prove his innocence, that's for sure.

It's just incredibly sad that one woman is already dead and another is possibly dead - both before their time.

Lawlessrence,
You seem quite defensive and argumentative. Have you always been this way? You also seem quite knowledgeable on both cases, but especially the first case. If the drivel is so annoying on both message boards, why do you keep coming back?
To deflect, defend the guilty? Do you really think the public is going to be swayed by your posting on message board. And by the way it is not just posters on these boards that believe they are both guilty. Take a poll. Anyone I've aksed believes both are guilty and all your posting on topix is not going to change opinions. So carry on. Keep getting your fur in an uprise. It doesn't make a bit of difference in reality.

LOL, boy are you a scarry one. Sorry, I didn't mean to "deflect" from the subject at hand. Be sure to remind me what that may be whenever you figure it out.
I would orphan you too by the way.
Lawrence,
Please try not to be so caught up in your own self worth on this one. This post was not directed to you, but again, you feel the need to comment on it. Bravo to your long winded, tiresome defense of your actually genuine perspective. Keep them coming, I personally do like what you write.

Logic points to the fact that Petersons mannerism's indicate having something to hide. Where there's smoke, there's usually fire. Peterson is acting as guilty as a kid who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. A cop, yes but a human being more and his actions speak louder than words or anything we all say here. Something seems very suspicious with this man. Problem with the investigation is he IS a cop and knows all the ways possible to get away with murder. It's scary when the public has to deal with that actual fact. I'm not saying this scenario happened, just a possibility. They're going to need alot of luck on this one.

Sadly,

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you say I would have plenty of time on my hands in prison?

Do you think the public is going to be swayed by your posting on a message board? Actually belive it or not yes and I don't mean by my posting. What you do is taint a possible jury down the line from actually doing their true job and remaining neutral and coming into a courtroom with no opinion one way or another.

Not one of my posts have defended the husband whatsoever. I haven't even offered an opinion the matter if you actually took time to read. What I've said is that this guy is innocent until he's proven guilty which I know you clearly don't believe.

If you read the case you would also know her mother has a history of running off. By no means am I saying that she's run off but objectively you have to take a look at the case OF WHICH NONE OF US HERE ON A MESSAGE BOARD REALLY KNOW and account for both sides. Clearly you're far to narrow minded to do just that so it's just foolish on my part to try and get you to try.

What's so annoying to me is that people forget we have a judicial system based on INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. There's no video here, no witnesses either so therefore you have to let the professionals do their jobs before you go jumping to conclusions.

All you have to do is look at the Stebic case. Clearly while everybody believes the husband did that also he's yet to be arrested. Have you wondered why? It's because the police have yet to find the evidence needed to prove that he's the one that did it. This case may prove to be the very same thing. If you don't find evidence showing somebody supposedly did something it could also very well mean that (drum roll please) THEY DIDN'T DO IT AT ALL.

I'm not trying to convince you that you're wrong for saying he did it but clearly you can't be right if he's not behind bars this morning. What proof do you have other then your watercooler hunch? That's right nothing.

Sadly is as sadly does and maybe Orphananne can buy you a box of chocolates.

Love Always,
Lawrence

Look we do not know what happened to the third wife. I had a friend who was a alcoholic and she had a brain aneurysm, she collapsed in the tub and hit her head and died. Remember she was 40 years old.And since she was by herself no one could get to her.Not all police officers sre bad. There are a few bad apples. remember police officers are only human. Let them do their investigation until they prove otherwise.

Too many innocent mothers and women in the Chicago/Suburbs area have been murdered lately. Sadly, not many arrests in these cases. Makes me sick. Why are these men getting away with murder?

Thanks Samantha. She actually took a shot at me out of left field in an earlier post, I should have left it at that.

In regard to his manner I'm not sure what to think. While my gut would always tell me that if you're innocent you should run right down to the police station and take a lie detector test without even being asked an attorney will generally suggest you don't. On that same manner subject I'm not even sure how I would act if the news trucks were parked on my lawn as the police were going through my home taking stuff out. I do know this, if I ever found myself in a similar situation I would go take that lie detector test and also make a statement to the press asking for help in finding my wife. Obviously the steps I just spoke of speak loudly that I had nothing to do with my loved one going missing but like I said until the news trucks are parked in your driveway and your inlaws are calling you a killer you don't really know how you would react.

Thanks for the nice comments too by the way.

In case you were wondering, I too find it suspicious that his former wife was found dead and that this one has gone missing. I find this whole case very sad especially knowing that the family didn't step in on this marriage to begin with but that's just me. That said since I have no decision in how things go I'll step back and watch the professionals do their job. Be fully assured that the husband is not the only party they are looking at in this case which is basically all I'm asking for.

Unfortunately people go missing every day and we only get to hear about the more sensational ones that take place in a white suburban setting. I hope they find her either way and if she is dead that they bring her killer to justice in a court of law and not on a message board.

Get real - That's the whole proof, the cop hubby making sure there is none. No evidence, no trace, then demeaning her character by stating: she left me for another man, knowing he made her disappear...

His 3rd wife left and was divorcing him because he got this one pregnant. The 3rd wife was also in fear for her life and she turned up dead. Now, this one, also looking for a divorce, also in fear for her life, is missing. This corrupt cop has already laid out an alibi for if and when they find her. "She left me for another man". Now when they find her body, it must have been that other mystery man that did it. This guy is as guilty as they come and I'm a full believer in due process so I don't make that kind of assumption easily!

O.K. Everyone is spouting off about guilt or innocence... I have just ONE question... WHY IS'NT HER LOVING HUSBAND HELPING IN HER RECOVERY??? And this a.m. I heard that the police are doing LITTLE to help. When Mrs. Mendez dissapeared last Sunday I had helicopters over my house for 3 DAYS STRAIGHT!!! But a COP's wife dissapears and they look in ONE retention pond and give up??? No State police help either... smells like FISH if you ask me!!!Keep up the good work all of you volunteers out there in Bollingbrook, Stacy needs it since she has NO ONE in the Police departments to stand up for her. Do you all remember how the Chicago cops covered for the officers attacking women bartenders and patrons? That IS until a video came into the public eye, Why not a murderer?

"The Blue Line". Seems like the Police are coy about turning on their own peers. Seems like they turned a "blind eye" when he murdered his first wife. And, if it wasn't so much media(national)coverage, those small town "hick's" would do the same. Keep it quite.

Everybody knows this 53 y/o cop is guilty but, white people. They are so reluctant to see the obvious. They are so caught up into "Authority" must be right. Let's stay the course. When that black immigrant was murdered by NYC cops and shot 40 somthing times when he only showed his ID, white people didn't give a dam$mm. They never do when it is someone non white that is murdered by the cops unjustly; especially, when the cop is white. Well, this cop is white, and he's a murderer. And, he didn't bury the lady in his neighborhood. Think he is both: white and dumb!

Lisa all I can suggest is that you take a half day, go buy some handcuffs, walk through the media and line of police and go make a citizens arrest this afternoon. Clearly you have cracked the case and are certain he did it by what you have read in the newspaper. Forget the forensic computer evidence, the car they towed away and his own statement to the police because you've already solved it all so we can bring closure from here in. I personally deputize you so go ahead and get some silver construction paper and make yourself a badge. After you arrest him be sure to read him his rights that everybody on this board likes to trample over and then I'll buy you a big black robe so you can hold a trial right there in his living room.

Now that I think about this plan it makes sense. Dog the Bounty Hunter has been shelved so you can take his place as Lisa the Bounty Hunter. A word of advice though, just be sure not to say the "N" word if you're white but if you're black it's just fine......(insert roll of eyes here.)

You sir get my poster of the day award. I mean how you have managed to turn a supposed white on white crime into a racial issue deserves some praise.

Come on Matt, don't be so harsh. Why do you expect people to actually base their opinions on facts or even the truth for that matter.

I think it's fun to just add your own facts to the case the public knows nothing about. Let me give this a try.

I hear after Mr. Peterson was done fixing the space station last week he secretly pulled his wifes body out of the shuttle and let it slowly drift off into space. Of course nobody saw him secretly stow her body onboard the space shuttle but that's a whole other matter. He should be landing any day now so the Bollingbrook police or whomever is investigating this matter can get a court order and tow that baby right into the station for forensic work.
