What a suprise another crooked thug in Cook County. We sure need all the superintendants that we have all over the state. Big salaries and one for every school. If there are three schools in a little town there is three of them and a regional supt. Who passed these laws to hav so many of these jokers. What do thet do plus all schools have principals and assistants.

I thought I read, Former CPS Chief ARNE DUNCANS house raided.

To see how he fooled everyone into thinking HE actually accomplished something.

If the reports are true, where is the TRIB?

If the reports are true, why isn't Arne Duncan being paraded out to explain to his boss why he lied?

"A bill was introduced in Springfield last week by a Republican state lawmaker that would abolish the Cook County regional office."

This guy needs to go, but how about that Republican hypocrisy?

Way to support local control by having the state take over!

Hehehe. Whenever I want to read about corrupt officials, the Chicago Tribune never lets me down.
There's an UNLIMITED supply of Chicago crooks in official positions to choose from - like shooting fish in a barrel.
This situation has nothing to do with Chicago, or can't you read?

And on another point, why do they have regional offices anyway? All they do is act as intermediary between local districts and the state board. They don't do anything that districts couldn't do themselves.

I agree. For a long time I have believed that ALL regional superintendent offices should be dismantled. Inspections can be done by the state or even the city where the schools are. We have to complete the recertification through the ISBE website anyways. I have never seen the point of these offices.

They only reason they finally decided to raid/investigate is because a reporter from the southtown has been reporting this for at least a year (so they knew about it). But since politicians don't investigate each other (or they all do it) this was allowed to go on.

When the paper finally reported that he/his family weren't even showing up to work and not paying it's bills (or perhaps close to election time) they could not longer ignore him stealing taxpayer dollars.

Are you listening Quinn -- this is why people of IL do not want taxes raised. Once you can stop all this corruption which will help you balance the budged, then come back and perhaps we'll talk

And this is where Jack Baldermann from RB was to get his certificate. RBHS went a YEAR without Baldermann being certified.

And now we know why - the blind leading the blind.

FYI, Baldermann is gone and I wish Dr. Bonnette success.

"This office, under Flowers, has been of service to nobody but themselves. He ran that office like he won the lottery -- and it was at taxpayers' expense."

THIS IS HOW ALL THE PUBLIC OFFICES SEEM TO BE RUN IN COOK COUNTY AND CHICAGO.

He was elected, not appointed. Try actually READING the article before you comment. That being said, he's gotta go.

Liquidate all of the so called 'elected ones' and start over, from scratch with replacements who are willing to obey, to the letter, the Constitution Of The United States. Enough corruption, enough usurping, enough games!
