Yeah, lawsuits happen like this all the time, and usually it is "victims" looking for the payout. So many bogus claims and lawsuits are done just for the almighty dollar. ANY lawsuit can be filed in the USA, based upon evidence or not. The "victim's" claim sounds pretty far fetched. It just makes no sense that she would be treated this way. I have had to do "use of force" on plenty of people that later claimed it was "excessive" and that they "did nothing" which they certainly did. I could just picture this "victim's" tirade now. "You aren't touching me, you aren't putting me under arrest", then when the Cops touch her, holy hell breaks loose and she claims the "victim" role. I sure hope the Village had a recorded lobby area. If they did, I bet it shows the "victim" not being such a victim. The Police did nothing wrong with the original detention. There was nothing wrong with her being brought in, etc. The only "question" is the "use of force" aspect and that sounds very fishy. Hope there is video tape evidence, hope it shows that the Officers did the right thing, then I hope the "victim" is charged with the Class 4 Felony. Hey, who knows, maybe the Cops did act wrong. That will be discovered later. But to call the cops basically "guilty" now based upon one side, that being the alleged "victim", and the liberal media reporting it, I wouldn't hold my breath. The first part of what I wrote is opinion. But lets hold off on judgement UNTIL this actually is resolved in court. Remember "innocent until proven guilty", the Police deserve the same right.

Don't know why cops would do that either. but I also don't know why cops would beat a woman up in a bar and probably the ONLY way that she could of had a case is because of the VIDEO tape showing her getting beat down by a COP while others watched. I don't know why cops beat confesions out of peopel but it has been done. Thats why some get let out of prison. The whole time others are saying cops wouldn't do that. The person started it. Kinda like the things you are bringing into question.

There are bad things that happen to good people from cops. There are racists cops out there. There are drug dealing, murdering, theiving, coniving scum of the earth Police out there. A VERY VERYYYYYYY VERYYYYYYYY small percentage compared to the good ones. The BAD ones are why its not so hard for regular people to see how this is and other things are very possible. Cause that is all we regular people ever hear about is the pathetic excuse of a cop.

BBW, most of what you discussed is usually one "rogue cop" acting a fool. And some of these incidents also took place OFF-duty. Does it make it better, no, but there is a big difference between a cop doing some activity off-duty or on. We are not the Police 24/7. Off-duty is just that, off-duty. And a POS off-duty cop that does wrong like that should be charged like anyone else. So, here is where the difference is. Usually "rogue" activity does not take place in the 'burbs, and a nicer 'burb at that. Then for it to involve THREE Officers...very fishy. Again, everything else in procedure that was done by the Police was right, the bringing her in, etc. The only questionable part is the "physical" issue. Again, for THREE Cops, in a POLICE LOBBY to pretzel up a 'compliant' person, sounds bogus to me. Well, the 'victim' is from BBK, I wonder if we hve had contact with her. Something I'll have to look in to. Again, I'm not saying there can't be bad Police out there, that is NOTwhat this discuss is about. But this is not a "usual" example. This example, which happens to Police everday usually is the 'victim' acting out, needs to be restrained, then feels like they were 'done wrong', finds a scumbag atty., then waits for the payout. The sad thing is, if this suit gets tossed out and the Police are shown to have done nothing wrong, chances are that won't get reported. So all I'm saying, is in this case that was reported, lets reserve some judgement here, we got one side, and to me that one side doesn't sound all that credible.

You know what bothers me more than ANYTHING is right away after reading an article such as this we take it as black and white...What if the accuser is lying??? What if these 3 officers did NOTHING wrong? But our society doesnt think like that, we automatically BELIEVE the accuser and HATE the officers...we dont know these people... we dont know the accuser and we dont know the officers...but here you all are bad mouthing them accusing them of these terrible things and were any of us there??? NO!!! But whatever all of you who take the news on TV or the news you read in the paper for the truth are just a foolish as the reporters who write it...and at the end of the day each of you go home to your families and to your homes and when something...ANYTHING GOES WRONG YOU'LL BE THE FIRST TO CALL 911 AND THE FIRST TO CALL ON THESE OFFICERS WHO YOU BAD MOUTH TO COME AND RESCUE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY...HYPOCRITS
