My reason for selecting the article about tick-borne diseases is simplly to make you aware that this story is from the maker of a prevention product - obviously to make you think that you must buy it. Any thing that will repel or kill parasites may be harmful to you or your pet. According a doctor that reviewed hundreds of journals, risks for getting Lyme disease from tick bites, even in areas where the disease is common is less than 2% in the human population and treatment is not even indicated unless the tick was attached more than 24 hours. So, we must wonder if the preventive for pets is just being cleverly marketed.
