How do they know if the mussels haven't already invaded all water bodies.

How do the tell, bait a hook with mussel scent. or have they checked and cleared all the boats that entered into the lakes already.or snorkeled to view the whole bottom.

Can mussels live out of the water?? for how long or do they adapt to air.

Better shut down the Housy, for that's fast moving water, They might go on tour, all the way to Long Island, just like the PCBs did.

the mussels can live out of water for periods of time. its very unlikely we will be successful in keeping them out. they are pervasive. crawfish eat them however so maybe we should stock up on crawfish.
