since I'm the first post on this one I'm calling it right now. It will be a woman from out of district to receive the job. If not, I will admit i was wrong.

They had 7 candidates apply for the job, 7. Not a huge number to select from here. And the candidates are not selected by Binkley but by a "search committee made up of parents, teachers and administrators is in the process of screening the seven applications that came in for the job."

Whomever is selected to be interviews is not done by the Superintendent but by this search committee.

If the person is qualified for the job, that is the only thing I care about.

As a parent, I would not want to decide who the next principal would be, I would not consider myself qualified to even know what skills they need to have to make them a good candidate.

I would trust the search committee is doing the right thing.

Nadine got her way once again! How is it someone that did not apply is the new principal??? How is it that no one that applied was qualified??? Something is not right about this!

I would like to see the qualifications of those who applied. How can a math coach be more qualified? I would also like to hear the opinions of the school committee regarding this appointment. Enough is enough. By the way, this math coach is on the Top 100 list already. Already earning about $88,000 a year as a math coach. If math coach job is eliminated now, I guess we know there were politics played.

From the article is says that the search committee did not forward any candidates because they did not feel any were qualified. Is this search committee a bunch of idiots? Why would anyone apply for a position they were not qualified for, especially in education.

I don't agree with a person who was not a formal applicant being hired. And what makes this person more qualified than the rest? I would like to know who applied.

What the heck is match coach anyways???

Just saw the article from work today. I guess I can kinda say told you so. Woman, and for not even applying for a job, it must be nice to be given a 100,000 + salary as a gift. go and ask the math teachers how much these math coaches actually interact with the kids. They are coaching the teachers, not the students!

So Math Coach has NO administrative experience in a school? Ever? Talk about on the job training. Unexperienced usually start at the bottom of the pay scale. How much did she "negotiate"?

Nadine sure has a lot of power. She can just hire her own nonqualified person and reject the committees nonqualified people? I bet the salary does not even compare with the experience. This new principal is already making too much and hasn't even started yet. And shame on this new principal for taking advantage of the situation. Stealing from the taxpayers by taking a job she is not qualified for is wrong on so many levels. Respect is earned and so far I haven't heard anything that warrants her being handed this job on a platter. Don't try to tell me this happened on a whim. Sounds like an I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine kind of deal. Disgusting and insulting to the citizens of Leominster. Go home, Nadine, and take your ball with you.

Has this woman taught elementary school? I've heard talk that she hasn't. If that is true then we should all put up a stink. How could it be that a person without teaching experience at that level and without any administrative experience could trump a current administrator who wanted the position? This reeks of favoritism and some kissing of the old queen's patuti. Shame on the coach. If her salary is 100000 then she is stealing from the children of the city by accepting a job she is not qualified for at an inflated salary.
