I took my son in for his bi-annual cleaning today. Waited over 45 minutes, and when I approached the front desk I was forced to wait while the receptionist finished a personal phone call. She then proceeded to tell me that I'd have to wait another half an hour, and turned to walk away before I could ask why. This is the most unprofessional and uncaring orthodontist clinic in Yakima. Be warned!

One thing you can say is they are busy, but the service is the best I've ever seen. I think they must take care of half of Yakima. Everyone I know goes there and loves it as much as you can love going to the dentist office. It sucks to wait but there is a reason they are busy, and I personally have never had to wait. Perhaps try again, maybe they had a bad day or were just running behind.

Our first time going there and it was amazing!!! I didn't mind the wait and neither did my son who's 4 years old. He had a blast with all the stuff they had there(nob hill clinic). My experience was great and so was the staff, everyone was very friendly. Definitely going to keep going to this clinic.

Our first time at the Nob hill clinic it was awsome!!! My son and I will go to this clinic verses the Union Gap location. The Union Gap location customer service is very poor.and the nob hill location the staff attitudes a positive up beat. The staff is very friendly at the nobhill location. Iam tell all of my friends and family to go to the Nob hill location.

We recently moved to the area and "tried" out Apple Valley -- NEVER AGAIN -- Both my husband and I had negative experiences and we went on different days. The waits are uncalled for and the untimely schedule is ridicules. You feel like you are on an assembly line with all the people in and out and moving around. NOT PERSONAL AT ALL! Went in for a cleaning and small cavity fill and left with majoy dental problems that I had to have another dentist fix. Would never go again and have told all my friends to stay away! DISASTER!!!

I had an alright experience. Some of the receptionist are not so friendly, but the doctors are awsome.

I'm an assistant at Apple Valley, and all i can say is sorry you had a bad experience. You should come and try it again. We are very busy and sometimes we do run behind, but we do try our best to get our pt seated at soon as possible. Sorry you had to wait. Hopefully you come again so you can have the experience we try to give every single person who walks in to our clinic.

I have one cracked tooth from an accident. I went in to have it repaired and, unbelievably, the dentist told me I needed to have all my fillings replaced. I had my silver amalgams replaced with white composites less than two years before although he didn't know that at the time. Of course, the treatment plan listed my cracked tooth as the last to be repaired. Also, I paid $180 for my daughter and it turned out that insurance covered it all. They were "apologetic" but finally returned my money. Lastly, we've waited over an hour in the waiting room more than once. Notice how even the positive reviews mention long wait times? Between doctors, emergency rooms and dentists, this is the worst place I've ever been. With four kids, I know what I'm talking about. I switched to Summitview Pediatric Dentistry for my kids. Honest dentist, little wait time and GREAT staff. It's a shame other places don't have the huge advertising budget this place has.

I drive two hours to get there for orthodontic care for my son. So far, we have had a great experience, with minimal wait times. There is an issue with ONE receptionist/office person, and I refuse to speak with her when we call. The last time we had to deal with her, she moved our appointment out a half hour because we *might* be late. We ended up being 6 minutes late, which should have still given us our original appointment time, but didn't. We had to wait 25 minutes to get seen (because of the change of time). When I grumbled to the patient rep, they assured me that they would address the issue with her. Other than this ONE employee, we LOVE it there. :)

I took my 4 yr old daughter in this February. I was told that she had SIX cavities and that she would need crowns and to be put under general anesthesia. I had a horrible gut feeling about it so I went and got a 2nd opinion. I took her to Summitview Pediatric Dentistry and was told that my daughter did not have a SINGLE cavity in her mouth. She didnt have even one watch. I was told that her teeth were absolutely perfect and had wonderful hygiene. They were willing to put my daughter under anesthesia to make a quick buck. I am horrified.

The care that I received while I was there was horrific. They treated us like we were white trash. During the consultation for her general anesthesia they refused to talk about her procedure, I was forced to sign a paper approving crowns being placed, and they repeatedly treated me like I was white trash. It was awful.

The Dentist at Summitview sat with me while I cried and showed me enlarged views of every single tooth and showed me what a cavity would look like. Then he showed me her perfect teeth. I was devastated and appalled that Apple Valley would do this.

I posted it on my facebook and 5 of my friends told me that they had received 2nd opinions as well that ended up showing that their child was cavity free. Shame on you Apple Valley.

I want to add then when I said that they refused to talk to me about the procedure, I meant that they said the Dr would come out and tell me what would need to be done. During the consultation I wanted to know about anesthesia and side effects, what the procedure would be like, how much communication would be between the dentist and I, etc.

Here is what I was told:

1. You must drive a car. You can not take a bus.
2. If you child is sick you must bring her in and prove it.
3. You can not leave to get a coffee. You must stay here at all times (well duh! She is my precious daughter undergoing dental work. Why would I leave her?)

and much more.

I am so glad I trusted my gut and took her to an honest dentist instead.

I have had the worst experience with this dental office. Whe i first came in they reviewed my insurance and before they did the procedure they quoted me how much i was going to pay out of my pocket which i did pay at the time of my visit they had already spoke with my insurance and a few weeks later i get a bill for a huge balance i just didnt understand that if they had quoted me something that suposibly was already worked out with my insurance, to make maters worst they advise me to cantact my insurance department to re sumbmit the coverage in the mean while they sent it to collections and my bill doubled up twice the amount. WORST SERVICE EVER IF THEY WOULD OF TOLD ME THE THE INSURANCE WAS NOT GOING TO COVER I WOULD OF GONE SOME WERE ELSE.

This place is a joke they know nothing about kids and spend about two minutes trying to work with them! Shame on them! Their billing practices are ridiculous !!!!
