Why would you even say that IT'S HER JOB ! NO,NO,NO, first of all unless she had a student graduating than she should have stayed home. It was the principle job, and by no means hers. The state needs to come in and do something.
You have totally lost it, haven't you? She did have a student graduating, all of them are her students. I bet every fourth grade teacher was there and didn't have a child graduating. I'm pretty sure the principal was probably on stage busy doing something. This all started over your daughter not getting a gift card for missing too many days. Yes, kids that have a 4.0 should have been recognized and received a gift card for their accomplishment. When my kids graduated, nobody received cards but kids with a 4.0 were mentioned. I agree with you on that, but I still think Mrs. Spurlock is not a bad teacher or person.

Literally all of you are all talk on the internet. Say it to her face...put your name...something. For being parents, all of you are such cowards and no better than her. Get off of the internet and worry about your kids and not the gossip on here.

Hey " y-me", are you done crying?? You are one of those " enabling" parents that I want to choke!!! It's Elementary school for Pete sake!! A monkey could make a 4.0 !!! Seems you need to get your tit outta your kids mouth, get a job and find something more productive to do with your time than run your mouth on topix. Where have you gone in the last couple posts, must have gone to cash your dumb dumb check.

Ok so schools have a big problem. I don't have any kids in the elementary school anymore but Mr. Kuhn was an awesome principal. Mrs. Manning does a great job and is on top of things. I did not always agree with her as a parent but I always respected her. Mrs. Spurlock on the other hand seems to have problems respecting parents and students alike. She acts as if she is better than everyone else. I personally believe that the principal and school board needs to reevaulate her position. There are a few wonderful teachers in the elementary school do not judge them all by a few bad ones. Mr Leep needs to go and has for a long time. He does not care about the kids or teaching. He is lazy and is just waiting on retirement. Hope its soon before too many more kids are exposed to his incompetence.

As a former parent, I found Ms. fair, professional, honest, speaks truths and principles. However, a few parents don't have these qualities and seem to resent them. Yes, I do see the shame, but not in Ms. Manning. "Shameful" has issues and doesn't recognize them. WHAT A SHAME!

Jim? Jim what? You sure did not put your last name Jim. I was simply saying that if there was a problem go to somebody who has power to do something. The way one conducts themselves show a lot about them and maybe she did not conduct her self properly but just be excited that your kid has made it through elementary school and focus on what a fine young man or woman they may become one day.

WHY NOT START WITH THE SUPT PADDLEING THE MOMS WHEN THEIR KID GETS IN TROUBLE.....AFTER A FEW SESSIONS THE PARENTS JUST MIGHT ENCOURAGE THEIR BRATS TO BEHAVE.....AND THERE ARE SEVERAL MOMS I WOULD LIKE TO START WITH.....

Here's an idea, stop giving the kids a 4th/8th grade graduation! Wtf is so special about going to a different school setting? Stop giving these heathens praise for graduating & maybe they'll anticipate high school graduation! Maybe they'll have more integrity to earn that right of passage! When did 4th grade graduation even start? If parents would morally support their children then maybe it wouldn't be left to some silly ceremony for kids to feel good about themselves! Acknowledge ur children's brilliance, and don't take them to the graduation! I personally wont advocate 4th or 8th grade graduation with my kids! And if u were a principal to a bunch of snot gobbling kids maybe ud have ur bad days too! If any parent says their kids never get on their nerves they're lying! Mine drive me nuts but I'm their MOTHER and love them unconditionally but imagine 300+ kids in age range 4-12! Give it a rest bc @ the end of the day when its all said & done, this woman is human, and prone to react as such!

I had Manning for math n she was tough as nails & a damn good teacher she has earned her position time & time again she refuses to believe those kids are a lost cause come to think of it, I'm living proof! So leave Manning out of this she's mean as a junkyard dog, but brilliant and has weathered the storm that is dchs!

For all the the concerned about the staff and gift cards... Why dont you volonteer at the school and show up for PTO meeting and give your input on things instead of being a coward and posting on the Internet. I see a lot of good staff at that school and never had any trouble yet but I'm there a lot be involved in my child's education. Just a thought mabey u should do the same.
