Hospital Review

Hello to all, I am starting this forum to get everyone’s thoughts on the hospital in Adams County. I know a few people that work or have worked there and I may be able to answer a few of your questions you may have. I am not speaking for the hospital, I have not be assigned to do any work paid or volunteer for the hospital, nor does the hospital know anything about this forum as it is brand new. I am biased and will not take sides either "for" or "against". I would like to keep this conversation as professional and serious as possible. I know there are some people are out there that just want to slander and use profanity to get their point across. I would like to invite those people to come back some other time so we may be able to get some useful information from this forum. Please, I invite you to share your thoughts and ideas about the Adams County Regional Medical Center.

I am glad to see that is a few serious sites on topix. As you can see on my post, I have tried to answer a few remarks from some concerned people. Here is a copy of my replies to a couple of people on the post “A move for the Court House and The Fair Grounds” Three reasons the hospital moved to Seaman. 1) The Doctors would not come to West Union from the Cincinnati area, now the doctors are knocking down the door to come to work there. 2)Brown County hospital had broken ground on plans to build a new hospital in Mt Orab. With a new hospital in Mt Orab, Adams County would have to shut their doors to not only a hospital, but to the doctor offices that surround the hospital, but the clinics that are offered on a everyday basis because we have a hospital. 3)ACH needed to expand, they are now situated on a 200+acre complex that is trying very hard to be a medical campus, and they are off to a very good start. Again, the numbers ($$$) are all public records and the administration of ACRMC will be very willing to sit down with anyone in Adams County to show you what you want to see or dont want to see. I think if you really want answers to your questions, you now have the invitation to go to ACRMC and ask all the questions you want. I bet you will find a group of people very willing to help.
What are your thoughts to my reply to the people?

I agree with GOOD NURSE. If you don't know someone, you can't get a job. I worked in the office there many years ago. I had to quit due to serious personal reasons. I've been trying for years to get back on in the registration dept but I am black-balled each time and I really feel that I know who keeps me from getting the jobs. I am not the only one that has ever quit there and wanted to go back. And I can name the ones that were hired back.

I too am a former employee and feel that I was black-balled. There were many personal issues in my life, but did the best I could to balance life and work. I was lied to about coming back to work there. They said no to being re-hired when I left on good terms the first time, or so I thought. The same ones that ruined the old hospital are running down the new one too. Until the house is cleaned, this hospital will be no better than a bad soap opera. Worse than a Payton Place. This goes for the doctors running around with the nurses and carrying on affairs. It will take more than pretty wallpaper and a fancy cafateria for anyone to regard them as serious healthcare professionals.I don't know why this topic was even started because the powers that be will never take it seriously and will disregard any information that is put forth. As said before, until someone steps in and cleans house from the administration to the housekeeping, the band will play on.

thanks good nurse. it is what it is. it's to bad that good people with strong work histories go without while some who take advantage, lie and are dishonest manage to stay on top.

I heard that one of the doctors is going blind and still working in the ER. Another doctor in the ER saw my parent had low BP and ordered a med that made my parents BP crash. That same doctor is a known "Sugar Daddy" to a homewrecker in West Union. This is not gossip, it is a known fact. I saw this doctor many times sitting in his car with his homewrecking girlfriend outside of another persons house tormenting them. The sad thing is this doctor is living with a hospital employee. So either the "live in" girlfriend has no idea whats going on or she is a really excepting person. I would rather not have people that have no control over their life handling my medical issues. I know people in the community that work hard to support their families but are forced to have a medical card because their job does not offer health insurance and they are treated like garbage at the hospital when more than half the staff receive a medical card for all the kids they have by different men. Even the kitchen staff look their noses down to people. For a building that offers less than sub standard care, not one of them should think they on a higher level than anyone else. Get over yourself. CLEAN HOUSE!!!!!

The Adams County Regional Medical Center has more services that other rural hospitals. I have seen growth in the services offered and a desire to improve services. I visited the Emergency Room and noticed that the company that supplies the ER Physicians is the same as Christ Hospital.

Most surgeries are same day surgeries the days of staying in the hospital for minor surgeries is long gone.

This hospital is one of the few that does not turn folks away based on their ability to pay.

The doctors are terrible!! I think we need all new doctors here! Its useless going there really! You go in - wait up to 4 hours - go home not knowing whats wrong with you. I dont see how they keep from getting sued! Clermont Mercy is a better hospital with better doctors!!! I would recommend that! Even Georgetown sucks!

Yeah and ya sit in the ER for hours ! For What? Hell a bunch sittin out at that desk including the DOCTOR doing nothing .New hospital with a bunch of lazy unqualified bunch running it !I'd like to see the screens to their computers they are sittin in front of and see what games they are playin on, Hell I maybe playin games their playin on the same game site! I know it's bullcrap to have to be sittin in that ER for hours while they sit on their asses right along with the damn DOCTOR. I think we have doctors that are unable or not qualified to work in a real hospital so they are all work at the finest here in AC.SAD SAD situation !!!

Doctors and nurses use electronic health records that require the use of computers to document the care. Computers do have other uses than to play games.
