Even now, I think of Doug. He helped me and loved me very much. I pray he has peace now that he didn't in this life. He was a generous, handsome, loving father and friend. I still dream of what might have been. He even saved my life once, and told me that day it was not my time to go. Then, about two years later, he lost his. What irony. I wouldve loved to continue our relationship. He was a good person and cared about his clients, friends and family. I feel your presence all the time, Douglas. I love you. Peace.

Even now I think about Douglas. He loved me and cared about me very much. I still think what might've been. He was an intelligent, handsome and caring man for his family, clients and friends. He once saved my life... telling me it was not yet my time o go. Yet not even two months later, he lost his earthly life. I still dream of you Douglas. God bless your heart and I pray that you've found the peace you so richly deserved. I can never repay your kindness to me, but I reach out to you even now, that you know I loved you then, as I do now.

<quoted text>Maybe he was out looking for some coke! I wonder if he is going to have a toxicology and alcohol done on him ?
This is the most disrespectful thing that I have ever read. He was driving home from seeing his father in the city. I don't understand why you would feel the need to write something like this after he passed. And the toxicology came up with absolutely nothing. Please take your insensitive comments elsewhere, they are not appreciated.

From the Peoples Defender.......
Adams County attorney Douglas E. McIlwain died overnight in a one-car accident on state Rt. 41. Here is the OSP report.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol, Georgetown Post is currently investigating a one vehicle fatal crash that occurred on May 18, 2010, at approximately 1:30 A.M. The crash occurred on State Route 41, one tenth of a mile north of mile post 24 in Meigs Township, Adams County.
Douglas E. McIlwain, age 59 of Peebles, Ohio was operating a 2009 Ford Focus northbound on State Route 41 approximately two miles south of Peebles, Ohio.
Preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a wire fence and several trees.
The driver, Douglas E. McIlwain was wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident by the Adams County Coroners Office.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol - Georgetown Post.
I'm surprised nobody pick up on the Ford Focus. What in the Hell was a successful attorney doing driving a Ford Focus. He operated as an LLC and could have buried any car he wanted as a one to one tax write-off by calling it his "company car."

Did he actually die in an accident or did he die in a covered up murder.
He was a great guy and extremely intelligent.

He was a very nice guy. Extremely intelligent, and the only one who had the balls that he would have ran against foster. He would have been a great judge.
