They so need to fix that pool

Right...by the time you find and dig up the old leaky metal pipes, put a mandatory second drain in, and rehab the basic pool...$1.5 mill ought to do it. Got it lying around???

So what if it takes that much to get a pool back in action out there. Are you just a bitter and joyless person looking to share your misery?

No, just curious where you will find the money...we are talking serious funding for a camp no longer supported by the council for resident use - only for weekends. Any improvements have to be approved by Ft. WOrth -- and that kind of money will be spent on CBO when the other two camps have all that they need.
Once repaired, don't forget the increase in insurance, the cost of water to fill it (it isn't on city water),and the need to have a lifeguard on hand anytime there are campers and water is in it. You are talking major dollars now, and considerable funding for the future. Why not work on the problems that keep it from being useable now? Oates hall, troop lodge and cabins in the units all need work.
WOrking towards a pool while the other projects sit is like letting the roof of the house collapse while buying a big screen TV...

Donations, fundraisers, hell if i win the lottery i will just buy it. Not havin a place to swim makes it not worth going too.
