By the way you are a scam...you never worked at that plant. So why was the lagoon overloaded and why were they forced to increasingly pump waste to the river.
I remember first seeing the paper mill. I was shocked with what I saw. We was in a huge drought, there was just a trickle of water coming down the stream. I seen a hundred foot plume of waste going down from the discharge piping. But the water above the discharge piping was discolored. Further up, the almost dry stream bed I could see rivulets of lagoon gray waste running down the dry river bed. I could see many multiple rivulets draining into the starving stream bed. That is when I couldn’t believe what my eyes were seeing. I as walked south on the road the embankment, it was pulsing with leaking white lagoon waste, for hundreds of feet. The embankment wasn’t green like it should be...the whole embankment was gray white. It was flowing across the road. I thought it was more a disaster area.
I spied where the employees were going across the bridge to get into the mill property. The whole scene was disgusting looking...how could the good employees go past that without complaining. Actually out of that scene, I began asking where did all the good people go too in the USA. Where did they go? Where was the conscience of the employees? It was chilling coming to the realization that a few players stole 100’s of millions of dollars...but the vast majority of the communities employees that went to church and loved their children knew what was going on, knew that it was wrong...they wouldn’t fix it on there own. They would just be happy working like a dog for pennies, would sell their soul for pennies, while letting their top dogs walk out with hundreds of millions of dollars. They gained so little benefits for living in such a discus ting environment...they were sheeps or lambs who would just unquestionably follow their crooked leader wherever their leash dragged them. I just couldn’t understand these employees.
As far as I am concerned, you got what you deserved...you remain silent to corruption and human degradation...I guarantee you are going to end up getting crushed!
Wasn’t that a precursor and warning to the nation with our economic collapse. All the ingredients that is plaguing our nation now was seen in the collapse of American Tissue. It was just on a too small scale for anyone to care...enough people didn’t get hurt for anyone to care!
I worked there for 30 years. I changed jobs before Atlantic came in because unless you didn't notice,a lot of paper mills were closing because of lack of business. Cut your crap about the "good people". We are the good people who worked hard to support our families and we didn't make "pennies". We got paid ok and had good benefits before Mehdi the crook took over and the paper industry went downhill.

But I'm not sure why I would waste time telling you about people working for a living. Keeping a job and working for a living is something that apparently only your wife can do. If you did work for a living and support your family then maybe you wouldn't spend so much time doing your imaginary whistleblowing and making up imaginary stuff about jobs, working people and a paper mill which you knew nothing about.

I'd have a discussion about the old clay lined lagoon that was legal and the newer lagoon that was put in if you actually knew anything about the paper industry or about people working for a living. You don't know either of these topics. If you had noticed, the lagoons are still there. So your whistleblowing didn't change anything about the lagoons.
Instead of telling us souless mill workers all about the jobs we had which supported our families - try going to work and keeping a job - from the sounds of you though an honest days work and a job that you can stick with is beneath old Mikey.

You know Mike, had you just stated that Smokey Smith is a small time local crook, everyone would have called it a day. Truth doesn't require many words for others to recognize it.
