"Govt. care would ruin the economy"

Wouldn't an even better headline be "Govt. would ruin the economy?"

Doesn't anyone else think it funny that the vainglorious dolt obama is constantly complaining about Washington these days? Does the buffoon not realize he is Washington?

Fight the power and do the right thing by voting the ineffective charlatan out of office in November 2012.

Oh my Lord, the same old tired stor lines: the majority of Americans don't want major health reform (wrong); no government control of our lives (so let's abolish Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, Head Start....); Canadians rushing to the United States for health care (as if the prosposed changes are modeled on Canada's, which they are not)...

$1 Trillion toward health care? I'm all for it.

Let's take a trip down short-term Memory Lane: Bush's $1.5 Trillion debt; 2 wars never paid for; two tax cuts to the wealthy not yet paid for; the largest drug entitlement program in decades was established under Bush... and not yet paid for; $3 Trillion in projected loss revenue because of the Bush-era recession... for a whopping $8 Trillion according to the bi-partisan OMB.

...and you are ok with that. But, please dear Lord, don't spend any money to protect millions of uninsured, newly uninsured, covering people with pre-existing conditions...

I think the Letter writer could have saved about 400 words of print and simply written the following: "I am insured, and I couldn't give a rat's -ss if other people are not."

Oh, wait, the first ever TEA Party convention is a for-profit event? What? They're charging $500+ per person in order to jsut attend the people's new "lets-be-different" party?

(Pssst: if anyone's interested... just in the case the event sells out, I'll be the one outside the entrance hawking tickets for a song.)

"According to some sources, Canadian and British health care are in shambles "

Yeah, typical right wing logic again, and again, and again. Make up a story and push it until the fiction becomes truth.

If we don't reform our healthcare system soon we will be the ones in shambles, and we're almost there.

Love to hear the reasons why Billy Jack & Jeffrey Reel think the way they do.

It sounds like you guys think it is possible to enforce heaven on earth. Not possible. All you will do is create a living hell.

So please explain why you think government health care is so fabulous. And why we want to emulate something that also does not work for everyone in European countries, and hasn't worked well in Berkshire County. Don't understand your logic.

You try to sound likew an intellectual, but when it comes down to it, you don't make sense.

I look at statements like this and wonder what Savannah is really trying to say.

I read Billy Jack's message as health care needs reform and I agree.

Jefferey is merely pointing out the hypocrisy of the Republican party and I agree with that also.

What is so complicated about that?

Cold hard cash is the complicated issue. Where is it coming from?

Where does any government funded activity come from? Taxes of course. Why do you ask silly questions when you know the answer. Maybe we should start taxing some of the non profits that are cheating the system with fake religions like scientology, not to mention hundreds of made up not for profit groups. If you really want things to be fare go after all the cheats both Republican and Democrat. You make it sound like health care is the be all and end all tax drain. Do some real research and see how poorly spent our tax dollars are and consider all the cheating businesses, non profits and individuals, maybe even you.

No limit to taxes right? What's yours is yours, & what's mine is yours too.

Some brilliant observer posted that.

OK, I'm a dumb, stupid, simple minded person who,(by neo-con logic should have been aborted), but still, there's a question maybe some of you really smart people can hep me with please.

Why should so much of the cost of health care go to paying for insurance company CEO, CFO, Building expenses, secretarys, janitors, and then too a cut for the insurance agent in the next town?

All the nay-sayers yelp about "who's going to pay for it?" --- well, call me simple, but if all the basic costs were removed,(like insurance man Mike Deep's cut -- well, he has to make a living too!)

Word has it that Veterans Hospitals and Medicare work pretty good. And then, well, there is the health care that EVERY cogressional member recieves,(and i'd guess family members also).

Oh wait! I just herd shawn 'splain it. sorry for wasting yer time.

if any of you all knew that that bad ol income tax has not for a long time paid for anything but the interest on the national debt, I would be amazed.

because if you did, you would understand that every bit of spending increases will simply be added to that debt that has at least doubled since obama took office, and will be paid for by generations to come - plus interest.

but instead of learning about why the federal reserve system is bleeding us all to death -- all but the bankers, that is - you just continue to needle and wheedle over the emotional crap.
