I remember driving down the street in front of the RANCH and seeing the sign "Canyon Ranch is a scam!" "Of course, it is," I thought when I heard of the ridiculous prices they charge and the so-called medical institute they have. Why don't they just call it SPA for the SPOILED or Entitlement Enterprise. When you learn someone is staying at Canyon Ranch and he/she needs to your services or becomes your client, why do you always think, "This person is going to be a total jerk!" Probably because it's usually true!@!!

I worked there as a contractor around 2005 and at that time it was a good place to work for employees and contractors but shortly there after things changed. They brought in a new management team and the family atmosphere was gone. The turnover in employmentis extremely high even in this economy, many hard working loyal employees were let go and replaced by lower payed ones.Tough place to work now!

A friend of mine that worked there got called to the office on a Monday morning and was told he was no longer needed. After they escorted him off the property they posted a "no trespass" order aginst him. I've been told that this is common practice there.
There is a clear division of classes when it comes to the treatment of the guests and employees.

I am currently an employee of CR and have been there a year.I started out thinking it was a wonderful place to work but that fades quickly.I have witnessed managment drive out people they dont like to promote or replace them with people they do like regardless of ability to perform the job.The current tennis pro was parking cars not to many years ago...The Facilities Manager used to work at a toy warehouse and is now running Laundry,Maintenance,Grounds and housekeeping, all the departments are in shambles and have a huge turnover rate. They have driven out long time employees for wanting an extra $1 an hour (would bring them to $10hr)and replaced them with labor ready and pays them $18hr with no reference or backround checks.Canyon Ranch has no loyalty to any of its employees and they use scare tactics to try and keep everyone from talking.I hope one day Mel and Enid Zuckerman waker up and see whats going on and either fix the situation or shut it down.Canyon Ranch in Lenox should be the model of CR since its the location that keeps all the other Ranches afloat yet when they need to save a few dollars they layoff they people that earned them the title of #1 Spa....Thanks CR for making life more difficult than it needs to be....

I remember the day in 2007 that I drove down Kemble Street and saw a sign that read, "Canyon Ranch is a scam." I couldn't stop laughing.....It's too bad that people feel that they "need" to go there to be pampered when they are actually getting so little from the place. I have had the misfortune of meeting a few guests of the ranch at a local hospital. Most, but not all, are the most entitled individuals that I have ever encountered.

I say close Canyon Ranch completely. Maybe we should send these folks could go to some spot in Dubai forever!!!!

I'm sorry to here this about CR. I have been going there for many years as a guest. I spend a lot of money there, and now that I know that all of the extra money that I have left as a tip never got the the workers, I will no longer be going there. I'm sorry for all of the employees that have been hurt by CR! Steph

The HR Director of Canyon Ranch Miami Beach do not solve workers issues instead fires those who attempt to fight for their rights.
