Special driver's license for noncitizens raises concerns

To get to her job cleaning other people's houses, Maria depends on her car. Without it, the native of Monterrey, Nuevo Len, says she would be hard-pressed to keep a job.

Illegal's should not get D.L. under any circumstance. Instead of giving them DL's our laws state they must be deported.

Let me break it down like this--Maria Sanchez an illegal gets a drivers license---she goes to the social security office and tells them she is Maria Sanchez from Dallas (of whom is an American Citizen) and provides ID for that as evidence --in turn they issue Maria Sanchez a copy of Legal Maria Sanchez's SS# card and then the fraud begins --next bank loans --Credit cards --car loans --when are people going to wake up and smell the coffee --and yes NATIONAL SECURITY is

It has been reported in the Topix about these ppl working and living here and you've not responded to it. Now you're crying about the drivers license problem. Buddy you can bet I do my part and dont complain. I call the INS/ICE so much I have an extension # to get right in without hearing the automated answering recording, they know that what I call in is worth their time. I call in asian resturants, mexican resturants, and my personal favorite is formosa/interplast/nan ya/j&m. I even follow people who pick up illegal/migrant workers and take pictures of license plates with the said illegals in route to their destinations of work and report them.

I can tell you that 3/4th of the people that are picked up are return/repeat offenders and of them 1/2 of them have serious criminal pasts like: drug/drug distribution, sex with minor/rape of some type, and most common is (besides sex with children) is identity theft and check fraud and forgery. Obama has swore to americans that tougher immigration laws are coming and no more slap on the hands and we need to hold him to it and contact local and state offices to ensure he keeps up his end of the deal. If we matched equal to the laws of mexico on immigration then every illegal would think we are too hard on them, even though we are doing exactly what would and is done by their government to illegals over there. I do not have a problem with someone trying to become an american, work for the american dream and live right beside me respectfully as I would with them, but to come over and commit crimes and steal identities and think they can get away with it is plain stupid. Does anyone think that we would get fair or light treatment if we did even misdemeanors over there? Not on your life.

Well at least someone is doing something about it. Maybe if we multiply someone by 100 we can have somebodies doing something about it. Maybe even include the un-American employers and li-ocal authorities in this wothwhile endeavor. Dude ur the moron. Illegals here get free medical treatment, free rx. almost free food. Most don't have and don't want a socila secuirty number.
