As you can see from the article , these allegations by the board were unfounded !The Town of Monroe Board are throwing the people of Kiryas Joel into their own mess . The people of Kiryas Joel need to WAKE UP as have the citizens of Monroe have over this boards lack of respect for all the people it serves .Stop the BLOCK VOTE and SAVE YOUR MONEY !! Harley Doles and Gerard McQuade will promise you anything at that moment to get your vote and more importantly YOUR MONEY !! They have NO INTENTIONS of doing anything for you !!After last weeks arrest of politicians in NY City, Westchester and Rockland AND THE FEDS ARE NOT DONE YET!! IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME THAT EVERYONE WILL BE INVESTAGATED !! And if you think they wont take you down with them you have been living under a rock !Save your MONEY Kiryas Joel , do not PAY FOR EMPTY PROMISES ANY MORE !!!

True, the current town board does seem to do whatever they want to do. They've been able to get away with it for years so why should they stop? They've secured the voter bloc that they need to keep getting reelected, then when anyone opposes them they try to split the voters of the villages of Monroe, Harriman, and KJ by diverting attention away from themselves and the real issues that affect ALL residents.
There probably isn't a more important election than the one coming up this Nov 5, 2013. Aside from issues in downtown Monroe, their lack of taking a stand on Hydro-Fracking leaves many questions unanswered. I would not be surprised if the current town board allows Fracking, then asks it's residents after-the-fact what they should do about it. They have a habit of acting first, then (maybe) thinking later...They don't properly enforce town codes as they should, they often send out 24/7 Trouble-Shooter HD to "handle things". Why is that? Who gets fined? Why are buildings built where there's not adequate room or resources present?
It's time for a positive change citizens of Monroe...
