Official: Afghan buildup involves 30,000 troops

President Barack Obama plans to send 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan over six months, a senior administration official said Tuesday, on an accelerated timetable that would dispatch several hundred Marines by Christmas.

I am for the build up. The build up should to add security to our presence. No marching in the cities. Let the Afghans do this. The added security should be for sealing off potential enemy areas and then close the circle and bombard by air to prevent escape. Fight the battles that need to be fought and leave the policing to the Afghan government.
