Don't ever call Mann's for a tow. They tried to charge me $485 for a SIX mile tow. My wife had Hyatts tow her a further distance a few months earlier for $65. They are heartless theives that take advantage of people in distress

so i call before christmas to see if i can get a copy of my invoice. eileen, the owner/receptionist, doesn't let me finish telling her what i need and says she can't help me now (3 days before christmas) and that i should call back the monday after christmas. fine. i'm not able to call her back then, so at my earliest convenience i call her back (jan. 4) and say i need my invoice and i need these three particular things on it (my name, that i paid for it, and that it was a police tow). i asked if that was something that could be done. yes, she says. ok, i was on my way out the door to go over by the shop anyway so i asked her if i could pick them up today, she says "i'll call you back." 'well, how long do you think it will take?' "i'll call you back." 'well, do you think you could tell me how long it will take?' "I'LL CALL YOU BACK!!" fine. three days go by with no phone call. so i call the shop back and a man named henry answers who was very nice and seemingly helpful. i was happy to talk to him because i figured the nasty woman i would not have to deal with today. i told him what i needed and he said he'd call me right back. ten minutes later, he called back. i told him a little more about what i needed and he said he'd call me back. three more hours go by and i still haven't received a phone call, so i call back. eileen answers the phone. shit, not her again. i say, "this is so and so, i'm calling to see if..." i stop because she's cut me off. i say, "excuse me?" because i did not hear her BECAUSE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF TALKING. she says, "your invoice is here on the counter waiting for you to pick it up," with a real snotty attitude, like i should know this already and i'm pestering her by calling. well i would have known IF SOMEONE WOULD HAVE CALLED ME BACK! so i say ok and hang up. while i was waiting until i could drive over there to pick up my invoice i became physically ill at the thought of having to deal with this woman face to face. i became very anxious and nauseous. so i finally go over there and walk in the door. she comes out from the back office, looks at me, says "here," and tosses, TOSSES, my invoice at me and walks away! so i start looking at the invoice expecting problems. and there were: not ONE of the three things i told her i needed on there were on the invoice. so i calmly and politely tell her (because i know she won't help me if i'm nasty right back) that i needed thi, that and the other thing. she says,'fine. cross out what's wrong and write what you need.' so i do and then wait for her. i say i want her to just look it over to make sure she can do this. she says that she can do it, eerything except say it was a police tow. i ask why not and she says because it wasn't one, but it was and it's because of that exact reason that i'm here having to do all this. so she says she can't do it now because she's too busy (too busy playing with the puppy behind the counter) and i'll have to come back tomorrow to get it. i send my boyfriend because i can't deal with her anymore. when he got there, he waited for 20 minutes in plain view of her before she came out to help him. when he got there she STILL had not corrected the invoice. she told my boyfriend that she wanted to charge us for having to correct the invoice because it probably cost her more than what we paid for the car ($150) for the time she put into it (5 minutes tops) and that it was a waste of her time. i will never go to mann's again and i will tell everyone not to go there unless they're in search of the devil incarnate. I write this to save other innocent people the grief.

First of all, I would like to take the time to respond to Jeff's complaint. I was the person who towed his daughters car. Well if he is going to try to badmouth us, then I think he should get his story correct. Having an accident, is never a pleasant experience. Yet, it is very unfair to vent on the people that are there to help you out, in this manner. Jeff had told me that Hyatt's would have done the accident recovery for 100.00 dollars. I told him that if he normally uses Hyatt's Garage and they would do it for 100 dollars then he should call them. I know for a fact that this job would have never been only charged 100.00 dollars, or Hyatt's Garage would have come out and did the job.
The part that Jeff has neglected to make mention of in his review, is that his car first had to be winched out of the woods, off of the trees, and restored to the pavement, before it could be towed. It didn't just break down. I believe his daughter was driving it.
Also, he states that he was charged 485.00, when in fact he was charged 354.00 plus tax. He was charged 125.00 for the truck, 125.00 for the winching, 75.00 for labor, and 30.00 for 6 miles at 5.00/mile.
I just got done paying out 890.00 to pick up one of our customers cars that another tow company picked up last night at an accident. It hit a pole, and was on the guidewire.
We have always been fair with our customers, and have always been there for them.

Go ANYWHERE except this place
Evidently they are having financial issues, work quality is to be kind, very poor. Attitudes abound here, as if you need them
Check the BBB score, they have a D for not replying to a complaint
Same result you will end up with, no communication
