I have lived in West Point all my life, and love this town. As a child and teenager, West Point was a quiet and clean town where everyone knew each other. You didn't have to worry about your kids, because the neighbors always had an eye out for them. You didn't even have to lock your doors. Nobody's home was ever broken into.You could always count on your neighbors for help. Now, I don't know half of the people in this town. Some of them,I don't care to know. Somehow, West Point has become a safe haven for white trash transients. most of these people complaining about the Police Department,came from other communities that didn't want them there. If the police are in your business, it's because they need to be. I as a citizen would love to see this town cleaned up of the undesirables. I am tired of seeing junk cars in the yard, trash on the road, and all the "porch People" hanging out at all hours of the night, leaving their trash and creating noise. I wish the police still had the authority to run people out of town. So, my point is: If you are that miserable here....Just leave. Make us all happy.

u r so right, but how can we get this city cleaned up. people will never clean yards, get rid of falling down houses, and quit using main street for nightly parades.
City council, please get this done.
mayor, please return the city to what it used to be.
and WPPD, continue to do ur part in making this happen. If u cannot be a law abiding citizen, move on.
If you cannot clean ur messy yard, run down house, sell it to someone who will.

the lady that lived next door not mentioning names need to cut her tree down before it falls on a house either hers mine or the other guy next to her its dead.she used to have five dogs andumpteen cats that s*** all over the inside of it and destroyed it. She made adog ranch out of it.Dogs barking all night.You couldn't even walk in your own backyard withot abunch of barking dogs.That doesn't include the drunk mexican she used to bring with her.she never even hardly took care of these animals gone all the time

ok Crap - you mention your neighbor "used to" as in she no longer does. Here's a novel idea - quit living in the past and worry more about the future. I don't know about you, but I have homeowners insurance and if I had a neighbor with a tree about to come down - I wouldn't worry about it. That's what homeowners is for and if she don't - guess what file suit if something happens, although rumor has it you've tried to file suit more than once yourself and have been laughed out of the courtroom. I have the unfortunate pleasure of living next to a perfect exaple of why "PRO CHOICE" is a good option. I never said you ran in the house from me - you ran from Steve. I wish westpoint cold be the nice town I knew as child.not taking sides, I have no right, but consider this, big towns are so busy and full of crime, westpoint, is a relief to folks like me who were uprooted and had to go to columbus ohio.If the economy dosn't improve ,could happen to more folks seeking jobs.be blessed this day, smile, and remember nothing is to big for God.
