I like Perry's. It is also a very nice atmosphere and old timey barber shop. Last time i was in there he put a shoe shine chair in his shop. He also does shaves and hot towels. He is a young up and coming Barber and a very good one.

Copycat, yes indeed he did.
Whitt's is still the better of the two.
What was all the hub-ub of a business opening in the back of his shop? Mr Whittingham told 5 people about a design place going in while I got my hair cut. Interesting.

To be clear, a business going in the back of Whitts End. Not Perry's.

I heard about a screen printing business going in. There is a sign on the door for "native envy" with shirts starting at $4 I think. Right next to twin ponds, this could be fun.

I share a common intrest of traditional barbering.Which if researched, growing trend is the revival of the true american barbershop.I and some friends started a association called the association of traditional barbering in which this trend of keeping things traditional are the main topic and goal.A long while back.Pretty sure traditional barbering has been around quite some time. There are several members of the association, some of which are world renowned. As for skill of service, the trade of barbering is an art and to each is own. However I would happily challenge my skill against anyone that does not observe brotherhood over competition. Also as owner of Perry's Barbershop I vow not to slander or gossip any other fellow tradesmen.I will however carry my moral view and stand up for what I know is right.I have built my business from scratch with my own sweat, blood and tears no one handed it to me.I will back my work 100%.

On the third try he was finally there. One time I went in sat down and nobody was around for 15 minutes. The barber has no work ethic. It seemed he tried to cover up his bad haircut with a towel at the end.I think he's the same kid that got kicked out of the previous barbershop he worked in because he lost business for the barbershop. He seems to want to act like a somebody in town and gossip alot...look I just want a good haircut I don't want to have to be ashamed of.When I need it.This fella has some learning to do.

The fact that you say you would never slander or gossip does NOT match up with your implications that Jason didn't work for his shop. You are basing that on gossip.I am POSITIVE that you do NOT know him or his life.He is lucky enough to have an amazing family and friends who helped him in getting the shop set up.That is simply the principle behind it,a FAMILY barber shop.If you weren't interested in slander you might have defended your case,as I understand defending yourself and would never say negative things toward your shop. You do have to realize though,as the second classic barber shop in town, people will say that you copied.Whether it is fair or not,it starts in Kindergarten.By it,I mean the implications. This is all I have to say to you sir.

Mr. Perry, using a barber that is better than you to up your clientele and then getting rid of him and copying his hair designs doesn't sound like the ethical, hard working, original person you so describe yourself as!

Hello! Thank you to everyone for the great feedback on my shop. Yes, I only charge $10.00 for haircuts. Haircuts include hot towel, neck shave, and hair tonic of your choice.I would love everyone to come check it out for a haircut, old fashioned face shave, hot towel treatment, or just good conversation and a cup of coffee. Have a wonderful day!

I back what I said and again I will not slander or gossip about anyone. As far as business ethics and the actual cause of Mr.Chaney dismissal purely was because he didn't fulfill a legal responsibility in which made me by law to remove him.As far as the comment about copying designs,I refuse design services and have never released a designed haircut from my chair.I only cut traditional haircuts. As far as skill.Mr.Chaney is very skilled or he wouldn't have been in my shop to begin with.As far as using him to raise my clientele. He wasn't involved long enough to build any clientele at the barbershop only long enough for me to divide the work I had available with him.I appreciate the fact you have enough loyalty to defend him even though your facts aren't correct, unless you are him writing this to tarnish a reputation without just cause. Also in regards to the questions above about service prices ~ haircuts are $12 shaves $14 all done with skill and the utmost professionalism.Thank you.

I have no quarrel with any Barbershop in town or barber for that matter. As far as Whitt's End Barbershop Jason is a good guy.I don't look at him as competition I look at him as a brother of the smock always have. His business attitude is his own right and as far as I know he doesn't acknowledge me for competition either. We do what we do to feed our family and pay our bills.I have love of the barbershop as a hobby and a job I enjoy all aspects of that there in.I enjoy the brotherhood of the barbering profession. In reality a barber can only do so many haircuts a day and there is enough to go around. The skill level comments sound like a pissing match and is worth just as much.I do this because I like it and am blessed because of it.As far as competition to any Barbershop the true competition is salons cutting men's hair.Men lost their way in the 60's and grew long hair which put a hurt on Barbershops.Salons picked up the business because barbers didn't want to fool with long hair. However as previously stated the Barbershop industry is coming back. The current style that is coming back is the true American Barbershop.1st or 2nd 3rd or fourth the barbershop is meant to reflect the tradition we represent.SHAVES,HAIRCUTS, FLAT TOPS,OUTLINE SHAVES and most of all new and old friends coming together to talk about what's going on in each others lives. It's cheap therapy with a touch of nostalgia. That's how I feel,That's how I am.These post I ran across some time ago by googling my name have been intriguing by the fact people can hide behind fake names fake locations and down somebody's hard work and livelyhood.I say to anyone reading this......frequent your local Barbershop.Find a barber you can trust, talk to and appreciate his or her work.Long as your in a Barbershop your in the right place. Also Don't look forward to anymore post by me.These thoughtless provoking comments seem not to be worth my time.Thank you.
