Great breakfast food, but the service is awful. Once they bring your food, they're done with you! On Saturdays they all stand around the cash register talking to each other. You can't even catch their eye for a refill.
Maybe you should work on your looks? Are you THAT ugly they don't want to look at you? LOL

Food was great but we were virtually IGNORED by all the staff! Like it was almost comical how they went out of their way to ignore us. Had to ask for refills, twice. Had to flag them over to brig our ticket. Had to ask for pie. While the owner literally served everyone EXCEPT us. I was so angry by the time we left, I vowed to never go back.

I wonder why some people have had such a great experience when ours was so terrible? It wasn't busy at all. 4 tables in there total, 2-3 people at each...I really wanted to love it. The food was excellent but we really were blatantly ignored. We sat there for 35 minutes after finishing our meal because we wanted to share a piece of pie. My boyfriend said "m'am" and she walked right by like she didn't hear! Our first waitress just left and went home so I guess the owner didn't care about us. After 45 minutes of sitting there, my boyfriend stands up when she's near us and says "m'am, could we please get a piece of pie?" "Yes, just let me help me other table first." The table that came in almost an hour after us? It was a joke.

Then we go to pay, and she doesn't even ask is how it was. Probably knew she wouldn't like the answer. Pathetic, and not how a business is ran.

I guess they were having an off day. Maybe the shift change created some issues. I go there at least once a week during the lunch rush. I have never ever had a problem. They are actually one of the fastest places in town to get lunch if you aren't wanting fast food. I would give them another chance.

We probably will because we loved the food. It's one thing to just have an "off" day though and another thing to just be rude and ignore customers. We are young college kids but we are well-mannered, and polite. Perhaps we were judged because of our age. Maybe we'll try again around noon rather than 2.

We eat there once a week because the food is great. We only eat there once a week because the service is so consistently lousy.

I agree...service sucks. When it comes to businesses, service is almost always going to trump food. I don't care how great the food is..if I'm treated like crap, I won't go back. That was my experience at the Ozark Cafe. I am also a college student and felt like they had some sort of prejudice against me just because I am young. Was not a good feeling.

I don't need to ask because I know the Hoovers. As a matter of fact I and one of the Hoovers have been laughing our @ss off about this. There isn't a Hoover out there that is interested in the restaurant business. Go ahead and keep tellin' everybody the Hoovers own and run it though. Who cares.
Most of Ozark Cafe's business comes from law enforcement, business owners etc during lunch hour. I have never had anything other than a burger or a salad and I was happy. But I did love Ruby's especially the rolls.
Terrible cinrolls now...Hoovers own the building at Ruby Tuesday, but have nothing to do with the operation at the restaurant, just a rent collector and of course all you suckers pay the extra sales tax scam.

I think the food is ok. The waiteress seem to care for the customers. The Chicken fried steak was not as good as it could have been. They need to watch Restaurant Impossible. Make fresh food and they will come

Tables too crowded, food is sub par, and the music made me want to take my knife and plunge it through my ears.

Had to wait quite a while to pay my bill. I was ignored as I stood at the register.

Other than that, wonderful

. I have eaten there several times and have never been treated that way. THAT is an excellent place to eat. The atmosphere is the best in this town. How many other places can you go in and eat a wonderful meal at Those prices and have entertainment too? None, thank you! The people that own it are very nice people, and of course, it's my opinion the food and service is great!
