Does anyone know why they have been having road blocks in West Plains in the last week? Someone told me that they were asking about guns.

There was one Monday over behind City Hall and a friend of mine said there were 2 of them down Cc today. He said the first thing they asked him was if he had any guns in his vehicle.

If anyone ever gets questioned by the law about guns in their vehicle best thing to do and say with an evil grin is , say no officer but I know where I can get some , what size caliber do you need and how many do you want and is there anything else you are looking for, if they are looking for a dead body , make sure you have a shovel handy and tell them you have one in the back of your car or truck offer it to them and give them directions to the nearest grave , leave them scratching their heads lol ! Now have a nice day.

Road blocks have to advertised in advance and they have to have signs up for what the road blocks are for

They do NOT have to be advertised - but they do have signs up. Asking about guns is officer safety.

That's right, Dirty Sanchez, there were not any DWI check points during the Bush years, Nor did the police ask individuals they did stop if they had any weapons in the car. This all started as a result if Obama. Especially in light if how enamored your average cop is of the prez.

There were DWI road blocks in the Bush years, more than now. And yes they did ask you if you had any weapons in the vehicle. Patriot Act buddy. Obama is just along for the ride.

There's more freedom now than the Bush years! Obama cares more about the constitution and rights of Americans than Bush/Cheney who cared about rich. Roadblocks have dropped off since the Bush years. There were roadblocks everywhere in 2001-2002. When Republican Ashcroft was Governor of Missouri you couldn't drive 59 mph without getting a speeding ticket because there were some many more troopers. They were like nazis and out of control, now they realize that they will become victims of a larger law enforcement agency if Republicans and Homeland Security get control and they are getting more laid back. All of you have it backwards, the police state is caused by those like Bush, Cheney, McCain, Sarah Palin, Romney, Ryan, Orin Hatch, John Boehner, Rumsfeld, and Ashcroft. They only have you duped into thinking the Democrats will take away your guns, when they are the ones that ramp up the police state on the poor people. If the Republicans retake the White House, they will examine through the list of NRA and Gun Owners of America and start their tyranny on those who stand up for the constitution.

Not true. They don't have to put up a sign. They only have to post it if they are doing sobriety checks. The law is looking for one of America's most wanted.
