as usual the judicial system in Howell County has failed..
I know of people who were caught dealing drugs walking away scot free because of who they were or who they knew.
I don't know Brian Hawkins, but if a dr testified that this was an illness NOT shaken baby then I would say that this "trial" was a travisty and I know for a fact that the people in West Plains had all ready convicted Brian long before this went to trial.

How do you think this site helps my family?! I'm 16. You guys have done nothing but smeared my families name all over here. Why? Just because you like to open your fat mouths? Makes you feel good to talk $hit on someone else so you wont realize your own problems. You are all big shames. Do you know how much trouble me and my brother would get in trouble for something small, while other kids doing the same things get off with nothing, just because they have the right last name? Yeah, it will turn around on you.

<quoted text>this is 100% true. She is a sh-ty as- mother. Sometimes she would leave breanna alone with her other child. Which he couldn't have been more than 5 when sge was 1. She splurges off welfare and doesn't care about anyone but herself
if u knew her Breannas mom u would know that was not true and u would know what ages her kids were then and now. So if u guys don't know her or this situation then keep ur opinions to your self about both sides.

This entire situation is not far, both sides will have their opinions but the trial is over after 6 years. Sounds like both sides have been hurt so their is no reason to keep stirring the pot. Their was a jury trial that the defense chose. Many testimonies and if u didn't go to the trial go get a copy of the records from court house. Just talk bout things u unaware of. I understand that ur welcome to have an onion but don't things u know nothing about. Both sides will have a lot to over come it sounds so let it rest. If the trial happened not to be fair then they will get a chance to do it again. Their is a lot of people hurt not just one side so remember that before u post something ur not sure about. I do know it was an open trial and anyone could of went so if u weren't there then u really don't have a lot of truth to say. I think everyone is forgetting the fact their is kids involved and are hurting also. The ultimate truth is no one will never know the truth about what really happened in that house between Brian and breanna that days or any other. Maybe one day the truth will be told but I wouldn't hold my breath.

they paid for their so called expert and the prosecutor had many drs that testified it wasn't by the way. Just as I was saying if u don't the right story, went to the trial or happen to be at his house the time she was picked and taken to his house for a visit then u don't know what happen.

Oh and I think it's funny how people can get on here and post comments that they know nothing about and talk about everyone when u can't use ur real name. I may not be using mine but I'm not talking a bunch of crap about either sides. I hope one day everyone will move on and stop bashing people.

I don't believe I was bashing anyone... nor was I pointing fingers at anyone as far as blame.

I think West Plains needs to find someone or something else to discuss and leave Brian and his family alone
Just curious

I am saying the same thing but for both sides. It is time to move on and leave both sides alone because both sides have to deal with things that none of us know.

They both still go by Will and Brian, nothing has changed. Someone posted earlier has no clue who they are talking about. Brian's full name is William Brian Hawkins.....always went by Brian. Will Hawkins has always went by Will.

I can't believe he was found guilty considering there was no evidence to prove he or anyone else shook the kid.Amazing.

WILL HAWKINS and BRIAN HAWKINS are NOT the same person!!! Get your facts down before you go off on some ranting about things you know absolutely NOTHING about... besides this dead horse has already been beaten to the ground. It's time to leave it alone.

Funny how much was omitted from this unfair trial. My question is now... How many people are in prison for things they didn't do? So sad.

Chance, the one thing that is sad about this situation is our justice system. The fact they don't have to prove anything for a jury to ruin someone's life. Good ole Howell County idiots wouldn't know the truth if it slapped them in the face.
Kind of like when that guy was accused of shooting that trooper a few years back. Pretty amazing how many people get put away on speculation alone.

If you leave a Snicker bar in the room and then it vanishes and I'm the last or only person to be seen in the room.....I'm guilty of stealing it in Howell County. Although, there is a great possibility someone else could have came in before me and took it...I will be found guilty by emotional thinkers and circumstances....which is never quite evidence.

If I left my kid with someone for a couple days....then I have to pick my kid up from the hospital because of multiple bruises, bleeding, and brain swelling. That person I left my child with better have a damn good explanation, otherwise I would take them out back and put a bullet in the back of their skull. Brian never proved he didn't do it....he's damn lucky he's only getting what he's getting now.....some parents would have buried his sorry ass.

<quoted text> Exactly! There was a lot of testimony to prove he did it--his own son told a case worker he had seen his dad shake his sister--and nothing substantial to prove he didn't do it! And he still has to stand trial for forgery!! Plus he had an outburst in court. He was fired from his job.it is well-known his current girlfriend is a user. There is just too much crap to see any good.
He doesn't have to prove he is innocent. Remember...innocent until poroven guilty? The prosecution was to prove he was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt!Way too much reasonable doubt here, too! The previous stroke the child had suffered....that was barred from the jurors. The statement made that the mother brought the child to the house and the child was acting lethargic and ill.....Hell, that should have been enough to make her guilty as well, according to hillbilly logic and juries! LOL
