the drug test is because so many people just go to get the drugs to sell or abuse, the test is to see if it is in your system if not you are selling the drugs. I use Dr.Devoe and know a few others that do too, never heard a complaint He is nice and funny and cares about your or at least my pain, and will do everything to manage your pain surgery may be the only way but they have to try simplest treatments first. I suggest you go try, if you don't like him try another Doc, I hope you find someone to help your pain, God bless.

Bottom line is,,you respect them,respect their help, and you receive respect in return. You abuse them, or misuse them and the help they try to give you, then you will be banned. Plain, and simple.

If you just need your drug fix, don't bother going. He is an excellent doctor, but he will decide what you need or don't need-you don't tell him! Drug tests are required to weed thru the druggies. If you come up with other drugs in your system, then you took them. If you take too many meds and run out, too bad, your fault. He is there to help control your pain, not to make sure you are kept in drugs. 70% of the people who go there are not in the kind of pain that requires heavy drugs-they just like the way it makes them feel. And if you don't have the meds in your system that he prescribed, your out of there. He is a most caring doctor, but he's not an idiot-his license is on the line so he plays by the rules. If you want to see him, you better, too.

First & only experience with Dr. Devoe:
Went in with my mother in law;
He met her for to seconds before he said lets go ahead and do an epideril on you, you are obviously in pain.
While he was trying to talk her into it, he decided to get a history, I asked him exactly what the doctors said was wrong with her(because she was seeing two in the same office and they both gave her two different diagnosis'.
He started in on this lecture about how he can't make peace treaties signed in the middle east( I think he was trying to make a five minute point about how doctors can have a difference of opinion, & he can't make them decide on the same one) but I had my phone in my hand, I hit button, and he flipped out saying I'm not the patient, how if I wanted to be on my phone I could leave, I told him I would put the phone away and he said no you can leave anyways. Since I wasn't the patient he didn't have to be nice to me. How he didn't like my body language. He is a condescending jerk. I am glad I don't need a pain doctor, because I used to work at a restaurant where the other pain clinic used to frequent at least every other day and were so high and mighty couldn't even say please and thank you... And then this guy!!! Absolutely ridiculous. There's our experience. He was rude and mean, if he hadn't of made me so mad, I probably would have cried..

OMG! He's a jokester! He is funny, and jokes around with you! As for your cell phone? I agree with him 110%! Nothing pisses me off more than trying to have a conversation,especially a serious conversation, and someone grabs their phone,and starts texting! That is beyond RUDE,and disrespectful! Every good Dr we are lucky enough to get here, either OMC runs them off,or the people here run them off. Why don't you all shut up, and if you like him, GREAT!! if you don't, I'm sure he's going to make it without you and it will just mean I won't have to wait as long in the waiting room.,
not nice for sure

funny? yeah, Not! if u think he's funny you're so wrong and in need of real funny ha ha, one things for sure, while the joke doctor is a control freak 101 example he can't stop other people from telling their experiences with him. is there a rule that medical staff need to be condescending and rude to patients? those same patients who are their source of income. if he was my pool boy i would've fired him long ago. rudeness is just cheesy!

You guys must be talking about two different doctors, he isn't middle eastern or hard to understand. He is however, very rude. I went there for an initial visit and had to do a urine test. They had never given me any drugs. I filled out about 20 pages of info and brought all my prescriptions with me. He came into the room and accused me of doing illegal drugs. I said the only drugs I do are prescriptions. I held up my bag of drugs and said are you sure it's not one of these. He looked at them, and said oh, I didn't realize you are all ready on morphine for other pain. I didn't ask to go there, my surgeon who made my problem worse sent me there. He wanted to do a nerve block in my neck, and after describing it, I told him no thanks and I walked out. I would never have him treat me for anything. Go to Springfield!

He never tells the same prognosis, it's always a different version and will argue that he didn't tell you what he initially did tell you and that pisses me off. Like making you out to be a liar for repeating to him what he had initially said

That's how I got treated also. I know several people that go there that do illegal drugs it has to show up in the piss tests and he still dishes out to em but you go to him pay him to help you and get treated like sht by him and his arrogance. I quit going to the good Dr in batesvile because of the drive but that drive and gas and time is worth it to be treated well and helped like you should be. This dude damn near got punched

The goal is quality of life. If pills lose effectiveness a detox on methadone for five days will
allow a return to small but effective doses.

no that's not true at all he actually cares about his patients an tries to help them I am terrified of needles an when I went in for my procedure he cut up an joked around with me to get me loosed up to where I wasn't so nervous about the needles he also gave me a sedative for anxiety which is more than any other dr. Has ever done but he cares an he isn't rough or mean with his patients at all
