I've traded at Rameys for many many years now, but after I witnessed how the management treats their employee's, I am really considering never shopping in that store again. I was having my medication filled and over heard a conversation between a cashier needing to go home and take care of her sick child and the manager bobby. He asked her why she was the only one that took care of the child, and that it was a inconvenience to him that she asked to leave to attend to her sick child. I was considering calling their home office or writing a letter to the editor of the quill. Has anyone else had any occurrences with this manager?

I worked with Bobby for a few years as part of his management team. He is this way with every employee. I actually quit because of his mismanagement. I never made a formal complaint to the corporate office because I saw him get away with too many things regarding treatment of employees and handling business in general. Things a manager at another store was fired for doing. I encourage you to make any kind of complaint against him. It needs to stop. So many good people work at Rameys and even more good people choose to spend money there(I have seen him mistreat plenty of customers just by patronizing them). I hope somebody can get something done.

Yeah Bobby needs to get fired I have heard many stories very similar. If it was one or two people it would be one thing, but there are too many. Rameys Haas to do something about it. I won't shop there because of him.

Well...just from my observations as a shopper, it doesn't surprise me that he would treat his employees that way. I agree. He should be replaced. He just gives off a negative vibe.

It has been my experience that no matter where you work or what job title you hold almost every boss reacts this way. It's pretty much the same when you want to use a vacation day or a sick day. Why offer those benefits if you are going to throw a fit when someone uses those benefits? It has also been my experience that when a man needs to take off work for something to do with a child the response is aaaahhh, what a great dad. But if a mom does the same thing she gets questioned about whether her home life is interfering with her work performance.

It goes both ways girl...As a Dad, I've have been told far more times "where is their mom? Aren't you supposed to support the kids? Family?" than I've ever been told to just take off with any kind of...aaaahh. Also adding a belittling "how are you going to pay her child support without a job"

That has been my experience in 80% of the jobs I have held in West Plains over the years, too. I once had a severe kidney infection which required hospitalization.The manager came by with flowers and explained they could not hold my position open. I was young then and didn't know the labor rules.

On a more serious note. He is a prick that no one even his wife likes. Never supports our local school or any local events.
