It is not the act of smoking K2,(or marijuana) that would put you in the hospital, it is the consequences of your behavior while under the influence that would put you there. The same is true of alcohol.

Personally, I know several people who, after smoking pot, fell asleep while driving, smoking, or simply cooking, and injured themselves (and in one case, killed someone else). A close friend set the sleeve of her bathrobe on fire trying to fry some eggs on a gas stove while experiencing the "marijuana munchies"!

I have an idea ...let's see what the guy who discovered K2 has to say about it's recreational usage....
"The substance, often called "Spice," "Genie," or "Zohai" is sprayed with a synthetic compound chemically similar to THC and mostly made in China. It's smoked in joints or pipes, just like the real deal.

The key ingredients are believed to be the unintended result of scientific research.

Dr. John Huffman, a Clemson University organic chemistry professor, was researching the effects of cannabinoids on the brain when his work resulted in a 1995 paper that contained the method and ingredients used to make the compound. That recipe found its way to marijuana users, who replicated Huffman's work and began spraying it onto dried flowers, herbs and tobacco.

"People who use it are idiots," said Huffman, referring to K2 smokers."

a friend of mine has a police scanner at his house and he old me the ambulance is at Naturally Enchanted for people having seziures... if it is freedom or K2 it has the same stuff in it so it will not be legal. but their website says and i quote " Naturally Enchanted was the first store to sell K2 in West Plains and it is sold for its therapeutic properties. Many have reported, and we have witnessed shocking medical improvements among several customers." WHATEVER

just chill, comparing k2 to pot makes you a bigger idiot than the people you are calling idiots.
pot is natural. k2 is synthetically produced. and for the record, it does have more severe side effects than smoking pot. there was a 4 year old taken away from his parents recently (here in town) because the dad had a bad trip (k2) and pulled a knife on his wife in front of the kid.
ok smarty, show me a newspaper article where someone under the influence of pot did anything like that?

I am the person who was working at Naturally Enchanted and called 911. A car had pulled up in front of Janome Sewing Center... the man got out of the car, slipped and fell, catching his throat hard between where the side of the windshield is and the door frame, dropped to the ground and started seizing.

As far as the medical improvements... that is a true statement. There are doctors suggesting K2 and like blends to their patients with Fibromyalgia, arthritis, cancer and such. There are people out of their wheelchairs in nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities because of K2 and "like" products.

I'm not saying that it is for everyone, but it does actually HELP with some medical problems...(maybe that's because the synthetic compound in K2 is actually used by the pharmaceutical companies). We were even making our own herb blend without ANY compounds on it for medicinal pusposes.

For those who say K2 is not dangerous, it has been proven that what they spray it with causes adverse affects, such as hallucinations and seizures. Unfortunately, my nephew decided to try K2 the night before it was made illegal in our state. The result was that a, typically, non-violent young man left our family get-together, smoked with a friend and went crazy. He beat up 3 people in the house, one being a child he adores, for no reason after smoking the K2. Unprovoked, no history, to the point that his girlfriend needs reconstruction on her face. Why anyone would risk their future to get a temporary fix is beyond me. The damage is permanent.

I have fibromyalgia. I have no intention of calling anyone stupid loser or anything else. I am just a person who has experience. I have pain all over my body 24 hours a day. Because of the pain I would only get about 3 hours of sleep a night. I get huge knots of inflamed muscle all over my back. There are days that I can't lift my arms. I went without a shower for two weeks because I couldn't stand up that long. Medications from the doctor only dulls the pain slightly and it could be years before we find the right combination of the 6 medications I'm on now. And the doctor tells me I'll never be without pain. I have friends who work at a shop that sells a version of k2. They started bringing me samples. When I smoke k2 I have no pain. I get relief that I haven't had in years. And I can sleep. When you get to the point that you can't wash your hair or play with your kids because you are in agony you can then spout to me about the evils of K2. I have never had a problem with it. And I smoke the samples which are 10 times more potent than what's available for sale. It's all about responsible use. You can't smoke it like it was regular marijuana. I could probably smoke two joints of marijuana and get the same high from 3 hits of K2. That's why there are adverse reactions reported. People assume they are the same thing and they are not. When trying any new drug you should take a small amount to see how it effects you specifically. Because the smoking of K2 has to be implied rather than stated, at least in my state, responsible use cannot be stated on the package. You can't put warning labels on it or give statements of proper use. Since it is new word of mouth hasn't had time to circulate on proper first time usage. So before people start screaming how terrible it is they need to take into account certain factors. Now I am going to go to my new job that I was able to get because of K2.

i used to smoke k2, one time i smoke summit and had a bad trip. I remember seeing a pink swirling blurr for a long time, i couldnt see anything else, i couldnt hear anything or feel anything, i had the feeling of non-exenstance, i felt i was on the verge of death. It felt like i was like that for hours and i hated that feeling, when i was finaly able ro move my arms i started clawing at my forehead and ended up scratching it up really bad. I had a very bad trip. I still smoked afteer that i just watched very carefully how much i smoked. That was probly the 5th or 6th time i smoked it and i had taken about 6 or 7 huge hits from a bong. I have since quit smoking k2 and ''like'' products since then. I have better things to do with my life then spend it being high all the time. You will NEVER be anybody if all you do is get high.
