Hello everyone Ive been doing alot of buying and selling and doing very well and have been entertaining the idea of opening up another thrift shop here in town. Ive seen them come and go mainly because they have always priced items far to high for this area. I mean even omc put old ragged couches in there and slap $100 plus tags on them which is crazy for here. I.ve got a fast cheap supply of inventory that i get constantly. I hae no doubt I'd be undercutting the other shops 25%-50% at a minimum. Just looking for thought and thank you for looking

I have quit going to thrift shop due to the crazy prices. I say if you can make a profit do it.

thank you old man. ive been selling on facebook, ebay and craigslist. But i have far to much to really sell that way since i buy in bulk, and yeah the local profit and non profit thrift shops are getting crazy. 4 bucks for jeans 2-3 for old t shirts you can shop at normal store clearance racks for those prices. not to mention most of the shops fill there clothing with items that its obvious noone will buy. well timeline im looking at around 6 months still gotta secure a bit more funds to set back to cover electric bills and such during the first few months.

Are you the one on Porter that has the cussing old man it. I will never go back there. If you do open a shop make sure the ceiling is falling in and there are mouse turds on the stuff otherwise people here won't buy it. And yes make sure you dose all you stuff with that stinkin stuff that the other stores use. I would rather have stuff with major BO on it than to sell that crap.

As long as it's good stuff like you say and not things from the city dump or spring cleaning garbage like some women around here are bragging about getting half their things from, go for it just keep the prices down it's all this town needs, this isn't New York and people are making the lowest cash compared to many states . I too hope it's all clean items as well I have called for certain items and met up with some ladies and some of the things weren't anything like in the pictures posted to "sell sites" or didn't work like we were told . A great Thrift store with reasonable yet fair prices is what we need or i'll just keep sticking to yard sales and regular store clearances or sales .

I'd love a good priced thrift store! Especially one that has decent stuff. I'm a diy-er and wish I had a decent thrift store where I could go buy some furniture to have fun with. I honestly have better luck going to garage sales and the habitat for humanity resale store to find cheap well used furniture. I'm not going to pay $25 for a chair that was worth $20 brand new!

Maybe not the best source, but that corner shop acrossed from little ceaser's looks like it does alright, and their prices arent bad either.
