Does anyone locally know of anyone selling hay? Would prefer square bales but willing to buy about anything reasonable. Thanks--

you can buy straw and pour a little molasses on it...try finding seedheads attached.

A concentration of 20 percent in the diet dry matter, there is increasing competition for substrate by the rumen microorganisms, with the result that the basal diet is used less and less efficiently according to the amount of molasses that is fed.

Tidwells got some good grass round bales for $70. Also know of a guy with some square alfalfa for $7 a bale, if he got any left. The guy in Kosh baled late & its pretty damp, so check if you go there.
