I wasn't referring to wal mart. Never really had a problem there.
I was just using it as a reference point. People fuss about not having any place to shop, eat, etc...and when something good comes to town they continue to shop & eat chain stores instead of local places. It's very disheartening. Especially owning a business.

I buy what I need to buy at the lowest possible cost. If I can buy something at a locally owned store for the same as Walmart, I will buy it locally. If I can order it I can have it shipped for half the price of Walmart base price, and NO sales tax Who in their right mind is going to spend $75 more for an item at Walmart so the taxes stay in the city. I would rather give money to the Blue Jean charity that give monety to the smiths or hoovers
What I am trying to say is this...if a set of lawnmower blades cost 25 dollars at walmart and I can get a better set from the guy that has the local lawnmower shop for 40 dollars, I am going to get them at the local lawnmower shop and gladly pay the extra fifteen bucks. I know the blades will probably be made of better steel thus I won't have to sharpen them as often and I will be helping the guy stay in business longer. I may need him around in the future to repair something else on that mower.

New businesses need workers. Got any people who can WORK?

I've been here awhile, and my workers get paid better than I do. My employees are so pre-occupied with all the drama that goes on in their lives that it's impossible to get a honest days work out of them.
