I'm in total agreement, wow. Too many hangups. Too uptight. Too prissy. They've all been sucking on a pickle.

The scary part is that they LIKE being this way because they think God wants a bunch of dried up prunes as followers.

Eat the chocolate crosses and quit being such nitpicky old farts. What are you going to do when you MEET me and discover that I have an uproariously irreverent sense of humor...and you don't? Won't be much fun in heaven if I decide to let you in. I'd better consider some sort of alternative placement for the very, very scrupulously proper so I can party with my peeps.

Entirely too much TSKing going on around here.

God is Imaginary and I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours. All the other Gods have a...bible of their own. How is your God any better? Notice your prayers always go unanswered? That's because you believe in a lie. Praying is just like Wishes...they never come true. This is why Gods are imaginary.

No proof. Read your bible and notice every page is filled with BS. Ask yourself this simple question: Why, when you read the Bible, are you not left in awe? Why doesn't a book written by an omniscient being leave you with a sense of wonder and amazement? If you are reading a book written by the all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving creator of the universe, wouldn't you expect to be stunned by the brilliance, the clarity and the wisdom of the author? Would you not expect each new page to intoxicate you with its incredible prose and its spectacular insight? Wouldn't you expect the author to tell us things that scientists have not been able to discover yet?

Yet, when we open the Bible and actually read it, we find it is nothing like that at all. Instead of leaving us in awe, it leaves us dumbfounded by all of the nonsense and backwardness that it contains. If you read what the Bible actually says, you find that the Bible is ridiculous. The examples shown above barely scratch the surface of the Bible's numerous problems. If we are honest with ourselves, it is obvious that an "all-knowing" God had absolutely nothing to do with this book.

The reason why the Bible contains so much nonsense is because God is imaginary. The Bible is a book written thousands of years ago by primitive men. A book that advocates senseless murder, slavery and the oppression of women has no place in our society today.

Well lets see , if prayers go unanswered why am I alive when back in the 70's the Dr's told my parents they couldn't do anything for me and gave them the option to take me home to spend my last days there or keep me in the hospital . I had all kinds of medical issues I was born super unhealthy , I had blood transfusions and was fed food threw tubes and losing weight . The DR's considered me a Medical mystery and couldn't figure out why my blood count kept dropping why I couldn't handle any type of milk and what they did just to keep me a live was goats milk but it too made me sick , but it was better then formula and breast milk I had bad allergies . I too lost hair like a cancer patient . Once I was prayed for I was healed , my parents took me back to show the wonders of God and prayer and the Dr's were in aw about all of it . It's not a lie that they made up , I have seen pictures and I remember even at 5 years old I could pull my hair out by the hands full without pain but yet I was eating like a horse , now I have hair like a horse and if someone pulls it the wrong way I about wan't to knock someone out because it hurts . lol ! Your entitled to believe what you want but I had to share that with you .

How might we prove that God is imaginary? One way would be to find a contradiction between the definition of God and the God we experience in the real world.

What would happen if we get down on our knees and pray to God in this way:
Dear God, almighty, all-powerful, all-loving creator of the universe, we pray to you to cure every case of cancer on this planet tonight. We pray in faith, knowing you will bless us as you describe in Matthew 7:7, Matthew 17:20, Matthew 21:21, Mark 11:24, John 14:12-14, Matthew 18:19 and James 5:15-16. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. We pray sincerely, knowing that when God answers this completely heartfelt, unselfish, non-materialistic prayer, it will glorify God and help millions of people in remarkable ways.
Will anything happen? No. Of course not.

This is very odd. Jesus makes specific promises in the Bible about how prayer is supposed to work. Jesus says in many different places that he and God will answer your prayers. And Christians believe Jesus -- according to this recent article, "54% of American adults believe the Bible is literally true." In some areas of the country the number goes as high as 75%.

If the Bible is literally true, then something is seriously amiss. Simply look at the facts. In Matthew 7:7 Jesus says:
Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! If "every one who asks receives", then if we ask for cancer to be cured, it should be cured. Right? If "our Father who is in heaven gives good things to those who ask him", then if we ask him to cure cancer, he should cure it. Right? And yet nothing happens.

In Matthew 17:20 Jesus says:
For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain,'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you. If "nothing will be impossible to you", then if we ask to cure cancer tonight, cancer should disappear. Right? Yet nothing happens. Note that if we take the Bible less-than-literally here, the statement "nothing will be impossible to you" becomes "lots of things will be impossible to you," and that would mean that Jesus is lying.
In Matthew 21:21:
I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain,'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. If "you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer", then if we ask to cure cancer tonight, cancer should dissappear. Right? Yet nothing happens. Note again that there is not a non-literal way to interpret "you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer", unless you replace "whatever" with "nothing" or "little."
The message is reiterated Mark 11:24:
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. If God says, "believe that you have received it, and it will be yours," and if we believe in God and his power, then what should happen if we pray to cure cancer tonight? It should be cured. Either that, or God is lying.
In John chapter 14, verses 12 through 14, Jesus tells all of us just how easy prayer can be:
"I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it." [ref] Look at how direct this statement is: "You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it." This is the "Son of God" speaking. Have we taken him "too literally?" No. This is a simple, unambiguous statement. Have we taken his statement "out of context?" No - Jesus uses the word anyone. Yet Jesus' statement is obviously false. Because when we ask God to cure cancer tonight, nothing happens.
We see the same thing over and over again...

In Matthew 18:19 Jesus says:
Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them. In James 5:15-16 the Bible says: And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. In Mark 9:23: All things are possible to him who believes. In Luke 1:37: For with God nothing will be impossible. Nothing could be simpler or clearer than Jesus' promises about prayer in the Bible. Yet, when we pray to eliminate cancer, nothing happens.
And keep in mind that this is Jesus talking here. These are not the words of human beings. These are not the words of "inspired" human beings. These are supposedly the words of God himself, incarnated in a human body. Jesus is supposed to be a perfect, sinless being. And yet, it is obvious that Jesus is lying. What Jesus says is clearly incorrect.

Why, when you read the Bible, are you not left in awe? For example, look though this small collection of Bible verses:
•Deut 25:11-12
•Genesis 38:8-10
•Deut 21:18-21
•Ex 35:2
•Lev 20:13
•Isaiah 13:13-16
•Exodus 21:20-21
•1 Tim 2:11-12
•Col 3:22-23
•Luke 14:26
•Deut 22:13-21
•Isaiah 40:8
These verses feel like utter nonsense, don't they? We can find thousands of verses like these in the Bible.
So we are forced to ask a question: Why doesn't a book written by God leave you with a sense of wonder and amazement? If you are reading a book written by the all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving creator of the universe, wouldn't you expect to be stunned by the brilliance, the clarity and the wisdom of the author? Would you not expect each new page to intoxicate you with its incredible prose and its spectacular insight?

Instead, opening the Bible inevitably creates a feeling of dumbfoundment. Have you ever noticed that? Instead of brilliance, much of the Bible contains nonsense. Several of the topics of the previous proofs, for example where we discussed the Bible's advocacy of slavery, are excellent examples. But they are just the tip of the iceberg. You can open the Bible to almost any page and find nonsense instead of wisdom.

Why, in other words, is the Bible so useless? Why does the author of the Bible, who is supposed to be God, who is supposed to be all-knowing, know so little? Why is the knowledge of the author limited to the knowledge of the primitive men who wrote the book? If you think about what you are reading in the Bible in the context of an all-knowing God who supposedly wrote it, none of it makes any sense. But if you think about the Bible as being a book written by primitive men like you would find in the remote regions of Afghanistan today, it makes complete sense.

The reason is because God is imaginary. "God" had nothing to do with the Bible. The Bible was written by primitive men, many of who were obviously insane.

How about this question . How might we prove that he is real ? First of all how did man come about? Why is there beauty in the earth , like painted deserts , mountains , flowers of every kind and animals and mammals of every kind ? Most cities aren't examples of beauty because (man) destroyed that beauty but either way if you go outside any city in any state into the country parts you will see this beauty I am talking about , if God isn't real why have their been Angels spotted in the sky in cloud form and with details too ? I too will answer your question about what you asked on why if everyone who ask will receive , Ok as far as that goes , even the bible says it takes a little (faith) like a grain of a mustard seed for God to listen to your , my or anyone else's prayers . The key (FAITH) most don't have faith is the biggest reason why many prayers aren't answer , let me give you an example , Ok if I asked you to build me a house and told you I believed you could build one then turned around and hired a contractor and they build my home and I said to them because I had faith in you to build my home that is why I have one but remember I asked you first but hired someone else and yet gave you credit because I knew you could build one , tell me how that makes sense ??? It doesn't , same thing with people asking God to do something and saying they believe then turn right around and hand the job to man . What God I believe does is says ok you think (Man) can fix your problems or health go right ahead and if doesn't go the way you want it , don't blame me if it goes wrong , God can and does heal but if your running to a Dr rather then running to the one you said you had faith in how does it make sense ? It doesn't . That my friend is why so many people don't get to see cancers cured or other afflictions. People ask people to form prayer circles but yet run to (MAN) wasn't GOD the one who created man ?

My question is why even ask anyone to pray or form a circle of prayers if your mind is already made up and you have no other plans then to run to a Dr (man) and most would agree that they do more harm or damage to your health then good when they offer you poisons (medicine) that was never intended for anyone or anything to take . Pills that were tested on animals that caused a lot of times serous harmful side effects . Let me use my grandfather for example he started getting on blood pressure pills back in the day rather then exercising and watching his diet to fix his issues then was put on another pill that was against the blood pressure meds and it took awhile for the Dr's to figure out the needed adjustments then next thing you know it 1 became 2 then 3 and before you knew it my grandfather took hand full of pills and spent 20 years most the time in bed from suffering and what came out of his mouth was (MAN I WISH I HAD NOT OF GOT STARTED ON PILLS) I wish I had of taken better care of myself , look at me now , I could have spent my last years in fairly good health but nope I took to much faith in the Dr's and their meds .
