I'm not sure who Jeremy is, but I do know Nathan. Pretty dang good guy. I'm pretty sure that he knows more about the entire situation than anyone else on here. I'm surprised he hasn't posted on this yet. Actually, I'm not, come to think of it. Rumor has it that he is a very successful businessman and owns several companies of his own. I'm confident that he doesn't have time for this. My comments above stand, and the numbers speak for themselves. ;) By the way, what's a "collective grill"?

Sunrise Honda? I know somebody who works there! By the way, my dear gossip professionals, this is not Nathan. My original statement implied nothing negative toward the business in question. It merely pointed out that our current economy, which is not getting any better, will not produce a profitable business when it pertains to "wants" as opposed to "needs". Try to get a loan on anything right now. Car loan, home loan, you name it. If you don't have near perfect credit, you will pay out the a$$ to get the deal done. After all the BS, you would be better off to save and make a cash purchase. Motorcycles are not selling worth a pi$$ anywhere right now. Finance companies are not interested in financing an item that is destined to be a reposession. All I can say is I hope whoever is making this purchase has plenty of on-hand cash to support payroll, utilities, insurance, interest, chargebacks, etc. for an indefinite period of time. Good luck to all!

You sure do seem to act like you know a lot. If motorcycles are so hard to sell, why is it that all of the reputable dealers are still in business and only the crooks and druggies are gone. You dont have a clue, but I probably do not either. I just know that a business doesnt stay open unless they can pay the bills and all of the good dealers are still open.

Rest assured, educated guesser, I am not who you think I am. I have over 13 years invested in the motorcycle business myself. If BP is posting on here, which I doubt he is, he knows exactly who I am. Contrary to your unshared beliefs, drugs and thievery are not synonomous with the sales of powersports vehicles and equipment. So, educated guesser, why don't you step away from the computer, pick up the dust mop, and get back to work. SMCAIEYP

Rumor has it that they were able to pay the bills until about early 2008. That's about the time that Nathan left, from what I've heard. That's probably why they are selling... Now, a person could make the correllation that when Nathan is running the show, business is good. When he's not, it goes down the poop chute. Also, according to the report listed above, he sold the heck out of some bikes when he was there.
Also, I recently saw an ad in the paper that said "Powers--Restructured and Refocused". What kind of manager/owner/idiot would EVER advertise something like that? All that ad says is that the place was seriously disorganized, without structure, and had no focus. No offering of proof that anything has changed. Who wants to do business with a place like that? If I was losing my tail, I might run that ad... LOL!

The motorcycle/ATV business is a finance business, it's not about selling motorcycles. Any idiot can sell a TOY to another childish idiot who has no way to finish paying the loan on his temporary minimum wage job. Credit isn't being handed out to losers like it used to be. Now, you have farmers that are still going to need ATVs and mules, but really, how many of these are needing to be constantly replaced?

Who cares that Brian sold out! Obviously he has done well for himself with this business over the 15 or so years...he is ready to move on. Good for him! Also, what business in this economy has not had it's fair share of ups and downs? Apparently it hasn't been ran to bad over the years considering I have watched hundreds of businesses come and go. The guy is in his mid 30's and has already accomplished what most people don't by the time they are to old to work. Stop hating on him and get over it!!

This is Jeremy, I don't have a bad thing to say about it either way. This is the first time I've even looked at this. Know who your talking about before you start calling names in on this. I've known Brain and Nathan for years. I think they are both good guys. I call myself lucky to consider them friends. Their dad is one of the finest people I know.

You are all a bunch of idiots! Someone becomes successful due to a lot of hard work, and you backwoods hillbillies are so envious that all you can do is post nasty comments about people you probably don't even know. Big stinkin' deal! He is selling his business! And by the way- Ed Powers and the phrase "finest people" are not synonymous! I haven't personally spoken to his kids (with the exception of Brian) for years, but I hope that they did not grow up to be like their father. Good for Brian, and best wishes to him and his family!
