<quoted text> FOX News may not have known all the details but they knew enough to warn us that is would not be good for out Country and have been doing that all along, why do you think Obama hates the FOX news network so bad? Obama's whole agenda since day one hasbeen to ruin our Country, and make us all dependent on the government eventually and at the rate he's going it will happen. Affordabe Care Act? Ayone I know who has had a policy canceled and looked into it will not only be paying more than they are now cause they have to take coverage they don't need but their deductable has gone sky high so they will be paying more out of pocket there too before the insurance kicks in. The whole program is stupid in my opinion, it sure is not affordable. Those of us that knew it warned our friends what a nightmare it would be but nobody wanted to listen, we were being paranoid. I just hope that those of you out there who voted him into office are real happy with what you have now! People are paying up to 30% and more higher rates than before with much large deductables. He is going to make it even harder for the middle class that was doing okay before all this came about, so now we will have more people toughing it financially and those that really can't afford to buy the new policy will also be without Insurance now where before at least they had it! He's always been out to screw the middle class to be blunt. Who would ever have dreamed our country would be in the position it is today, I sure never did. We used to be the Country everyone envied, and now we're going in the direction of all the other countries. When he said he would bring change without really saying what kind of change, that held a red flag for me, I was very wary of what that change would be and now we are seeing it for ourselves, but I'm afraid it may be too late for us to wake up now. Now we see why he didn't want to bargain with Boehner about the health care issue, when they asked him to put it off a year and re-think the plan cause they felt it would be a disaster. Obama wouldn't even discuss it and now we can see why, he just kept saying that it wasn't even an option.
You're sitting too close to your TV set again. Fox News is an entertainment channel. You do not have to buy a plan. In Missouri there is no penalty if you don't. You really need to check it out for yourself rather than let some talking head tell you what to think. Workers making just over the poverty level get nearly 95% of the plan cost covered through tax credits and assistance. Though the best thing for our country would be single-payer so we're not lining the corporate health insurance companies with profit. I don't mind some of my tax dollars going to people in need. I do mind my tax dollars going to corporate profits.

Tell me after you do your taxes if your required to have insurance. It's Federal Law not good ole Missouri law. You will be penalized if you do not have insurance.

I'm not stupid, I did check it out and Missouri pays a tax penalty just like every other State if they don't sign up for Obama's so called "Affordable Care Act" Besides checking things out, I have talked to several people who have gotten letters canceling their insurance and know what their rates where before and after. Besides paying alot more for insurance, the deductables go up sky high. And you believeing that you are actually going to get 95% of the plan cost covered through tax credits is a joke. Is that kind of like you can keep your plan if you want it and you can keep your doctor too? And if you really think the Insurance companies along with our government aren't profiting out of this then your'e the one that needs to look into things not me!

I don't mind helping people in need on my own terms, fact is I do it quite often. I just don't like being "forced" into helping people in need though anymore than I like the government telling us our policies aren't good enough for us so we have to buy theirs. It's just not right!

Stupid Pelosi herself said you have to pass it first before you know what's in it, excuse me only morans would do something like that muchless say something like that. They used to say Sarah Palin was stupid, but in my opinion when it comes to politics Pelosi has them all beat! To this day I don't get how people like her and the rest of them keep getting voted back into office. I mean even the President told a bald faced lie when he said you can keep your plan if you like it and you can keep your doctor. I know he isn't the first one to have told a lie but give me a break when you're caught on tape saying it time and time again while you were pushing your agenda, own up to it don't keep blaming others for your mistakes. Be a man and take responsiblity for your own mistakes!

Don't know about your stupidity part, but since there is no expanded medicaid in Missouri there is no penalty if you don't buy insurance.

Yes, if you actually go to the website rather than listening to misinformation you would learn something...at least thinking for yourself. Obamacare does not restrict what doctor you see. You can sign up for a plan from a company that has preferred providers. That's your choice. The same conditions apply to many health care plans before Obamacare. Nothing changed.

You can also learn that for the working poor making at least 130% or so of poverty level, 95% of the costs are covered by tax credits/subsidies. As your income goes above that level the tax credits/subsidies go down.

Of course the health insurance companies are profiting from this. I even said so in my post. That's why single payer would be such a good idea. As it is health coverage has a built-in 20% profit for the insurance companies. I expect a big battle over single-payer as our "representatives" derive a huge amount of cash from Health Insurance companies. I'm not picking on a particular party either. The only way for our government to get back to representing people is to take the money out of politics. I'm skeptical that will happen.

What is it that you don't get, he said we could keep our plans if we like them and our doctors so if you are forced to buy a policy you don't want to start with, he is restricting your choice. If your doctor isn't on his little list you're out of luck and chances are he isn't on the list. Besides what gives the government the right to tell us what policies we can and cannot buy. If you're like me, over fifty you don't need birth control, maternity care, pediatric care, etc. etc. so give me one good reason why I should give up a policy fit for me that doesn't require I pay for unneccessary coverage which would cost me much more and hike my deductable way up besides just to pay for someone else's healthcare. It's not like the poor don't get taken care of, I have friends who work but don't make much but they are on medicaid and they get all the care they need. Either way it's us the taxpayers footing the bill and we are already paying for them and their medicaid so why do we even need Obamacare which not only screws up our medical plans but we'd be paying out more than we are now? The whole thing makes no sense to me at all and many others believe the same way, more and more as plans continue to get cancelled. The whole deal is a big fiasco, and this is me and my feelings talking not somebody else's, just so you know I do have thoughts of my own! They may not agree with yours but they are my own, I am capable of forming my own opinions!

There is a difference in caring for others that are in need, and letting people take advantage of the system. I help people personally all the time, if I feel you could use the shirt on my back I'd give it to you. However when you have people living off the system who can afford the high dollar cell phones, cigarettes and beer among alot of other stuff that I personally would cut back on when tight for money, then I think there's a problem. And in my opinion helping people like that is just enableing them. You can be caring, and not let people take advantage at the same time. Just because we have different opinions does not mean we don't care about others too.
