think i saw a bald eagle flying through the neighborhood this morning - 2 small birds trying to chase him away before damage was done. live in an area with lots of trees & ponds. lots of birdlife, major migration route also

We were floating the Big River in House Springs, MO and saw a Bald Eagle today. Saw him twice, first time he saw us first and flew down river. The second time he watched us as we watched him perched on a branch above the river. I would say we got within 50 feet of him before he flew the second time.

This is the 3rd Bald Eagle I have seen the 1st was on a float trip on the Upper Meramec river, 2nd at our farm in Linn,Mo on the Gasconade river.

Try the Dora and Gainesville areas. I've seen a few over the years there fling over Bryant Creek! Beautiful site!

I live near Jack's Fork River in Texas County and I occasionally see Bald Eagles here and there in this area.
