You don't pay self-employment tax on rental income.

I clean houses, and have had to clean up after many a renter. OMG! You would not believe how they badly they trash places!

They let their kids and animals (even when they're not supposed to have animals) crap all over the place. Holes in the walls. Windows broken, doors hanging off their hinges, etc. They usually claim 'it was like that when I got here'. BS

The worst was the renters had not paid their rent for months. The cops finally got them out. The electric company had turned off their electrics some time ago, so there was no running water. After filling the toilet, they proceeded to do their business in the tub!

The landlord provided garbage service. But they were too lazy to take it out to the curb they just threw the trash down the steps into the basement. Needless to say the whole place was trashed.

IT WAS AWFUL!!!

yep,,,1 bad renter out of 100,,,you will always rent to one,,,but you forget to tell the other side of the story,,,of all the good renters you have to clean up after,,,the ones who pay a deposit and take care of the place and give good notice and clean up before they move,,,but stil dont get their security deposit back,,,what about them renters?,,,which are more of a % then bad renters for every landlord,,,a renter home is for others to live there and the landlords not to think the renter is below them,,,or the cleaning staff or maint staff that are hired to do a job for the landlords,,,like you,,,a topix name of,,,renters are pigs,,,the grave digger knows damn well the cleaning staff and maint staff all repeat what the landlords say and think of their renters,,,bet you a 100 bucks right now if you rent a place for lets say 6 months and move out,,,that landlords cleaning staff would say the same about you,,,besides that,,,you cleaning staffs are way over paid,,,how hard is it to walk into a empty house and clean it,,,do you know what you get in an empty rental unit with 2 or more cleaning staff inside?,,,a chicken cladder of gossip,,,just clean cuz thats what your paid to do,,,not talk about how dirty the rental place was left,,,if you worked for the grave digger,,,you would be watched by gaurds with attack dogs,,,then utter one word while cleaning,,,you will be tazed with a tazer,,,then fired,,,ha haa haaa,,,renters rule,,,baby,,,ha haa haaa
