To the person who said that about his eyes,,,,shame on you! He has always had the most gorgeous eyes you'll ever see! And to everyone,,if you didn't loose a parent as you were growing up,you dont have a clue what It's like, but everyone's running to make their stupid ideas facts. Back off, leave him,and his mom alone to deal with this, and their future on their own! If either needs anyone's help/advice, they'll ask

when something like this happens and they ask for help in the beginning people will want to find out everything about the situation. It's owed to the people who spent time and money looking for this kid.

A few years back one of my sons 15 at the time went missing. I told the police department and they had me do paperwork. Then said a person isn't considered a missing person until 48 hours! No radio broadcast no news Media no aircraft flying over every county looking for our son. Was my son not as important as this kid? It really hurt us to see the difference made in our situation and the speake family. In 48 hours the speake kid was home .... guess it's all in who they want to help. Thanks for doing nothing!

The family doesn't owe a single person an explanation. Nobody forced you to spend your time and money to look for JJ, that was your choice. JJ obviously felt he had no other way out other than runninng away! Teenagers make mistakes, but why he left his nobody's business except JJ's and his family's! Stop sticking your nose in other people's business and worry about your own business! People these days are really pathetic!

You are pathetic! These people may not want to help next time after being talked to this way and it just might be your child next time!

I do not know this family But I'm pretty sure they are grateful to each and every person that prayed and searched for that child. It is none of our business Why he left, I am just glad that he is home safe with his family. The way to community pulled together to search for him Makes me proud to be part of it.

I was beginning to think I was the only person reading this that thought it wasn't anyone's business. I'm shocked that people are having this reaction. This is a personal family matter involving a MINOR. Why does anyone need more information than what has already been published in news articles? How will talking or posting about this young man and his family help them emotionally? It won't, it will only make their situation more difficult. And it will only make you gossip mongers happy for about 5 minutes before you move on to someone else.

Thanks for the compliment sugar! You have no idea who I am, so your words don't bother me! LMFAO, get over yourself hun. Talking to them what way? For stating that it's nobody's business? Haha, if that hurts somebody's feelings, they need thicker skin! People don't help because they're f*cking selfish! If people don't want to help, that's their business. I don't have children moron, and I don't plan on having any because of crazy and rude ass people like you! Keep your compliments coming though, they made me laugh! Have a great day pumpkin! ;)

When people who think they know it all, start piling in just be nosy and be seen, and be able to repeat what they heard,,that makes everything that much harder on mom,and son. A mother who's close with her child knows what needs done,,,just back off and let them be. Those people need to worry about saving themselves

My parents never searched for me when I went missing back in the mid 1980's. When I finally returned weeks later, my dad had turned my bedroom into a den.

Care to share the whole story about your son? Was a note left? Had he ran away before? Been in a lot of trouble?

Each situation is different.

As for flying over county looking that was a citizen who chose to volunteer to do that.

Did you get the word out? Create a Facebook page?

How long was your son gone?

Did go to the police department and they had told me he wasn't missing until 48 hours. A week went by. Not one ph call or visit from the police department. My son return on his on. No i didn't get any help from any news Media or others. A letter was wrote up about it in the quill. Thanks for asking.

Time to let this drop. The family was very proactive in getting the word out to help look. All that matters is he is home now.

proactive now wants all it to go away without answers. When you bring the public into it then answers are due.

No. No one owes you or anyone else an answer of why. You are just nosey. They have thanked us for our help on finding him, now it's between him and his family to work things out. Most of us that searched didn't do it to find out the answer of why, we just wantedto to get him home safe.
